In this game, I'll be opening a pack once a day, for the next 18 days. Each time I open a pack, people are to discuss what their first pick would be from the pack, and a brief explanation of why that card over the others. If the rare happens to be an amazing bomb (I.e. Elspeth), then try to state your second pick.

I indeed would draft Gary out of this. Sure, it really seals what kind of deck you want, but if you get that kind of deck passed to you, then he works wonders.
Gary is da pick boyyyy
{Titabs strength}. Gary relies around heavy devotion, whereas any Aggro deck can work with Titan's well. It's easier to use, less conditional, and with {Fabled Hero}...Yum yum
I would take gift because it gives me the option to go RW plus it's very effective in constructive and in draft.
I'd go with {Grey Merchant of Asphodel}. At the very least, he is 2/4 body that causes a 4 point life swing just for ETBing for 5. Gary doesn't need to be your win con, so you don't have to rely heavily on black devotion and can easily do two color. Another thing: if you take a Gary, NEVER PASS A WHIP. I saw this happen and almost passed the pack back to the guy. Also: there is no "4-of" limit in drafted/sealed, so take all you can!

Why would you even pass a whip in the first place? It's worth some money and is amazing, and at the very least, you should be hate drafting...
I know... I considered passing the pack back to the guy and explaining it to him, but I had already drafted 3 Garys and I had to have the Whip.

First pick in this one is tough for me. It's either {Divine verdict} for some quality removal, {Kragma war caller} for a great start to a Minotaur deck, or {Flamespeaker adept} because it's a decent body, and almost always gets bigger
