{Kitchen Finks} {Nim Deathmantle} {Ashnod's Altar} life gain with persist tricks
Only works once though...

Nope! Sac to altar twice, getting {4} in your mana pool, then on second time, use deathmantle to return finks to battlefield fresh.
Exactly
Also if you want to wipe everything except creatures, {Woodfall Primus} works nice.
Oh I see it now
It's fun, can also be done with any undying creatures
Finish them with a {Bitter Ordeal}.
{Gift of Immortality} also works for infinite mana
Play any of the undying or persist combos with this guy in play :). {Flayer of the Hatebound}
{Geralf's Mindcrusher} - mill
{Geralf's Messenger} - target life loss
{Kitchen Finks} - life gain
{Murderous Redcap} - damage creature or player
{Puppeteer Clique} - use their graveyard to kill them
{River Kelpie} - card draw
{Twilight Shepherd} - get stuff back from this turn
{Woodfall Primus} - non creature permanent destruction (land destruction?!)
Boo, land destruction!
Oh yes this is going in my BG edh deck +1
Couldn't you use a green creature with persist and {ivy lane denizen} with some way to sacrifice the green creature, like {viscera seer}
The two keys for this combo are kinda specific.
The altar gives you the mana (by sacing the creature twice, then you use the mana to brin it back with the deathmantle. It's repeatable as long as they can't interrupt your process. (scavenging ooze eats the creature in the graveyard) this is what makes it a combo.
To replace those pieces you need something to sac to (free or otherwise), and some repeatable way to bring the creature back.
{Kitchen Finks} sacrifice for {viscera seer} comes back with a -1/-1 counter {ivylane denizen is out green creature enters battlefield gets +1/+1 counter. The two counters counter each other out and cease to exist. Sacrifice again, persist again repeat until end of time

Ahh yes nicely done. I missed that as I wasn't thinking of just green creatures. The only other green persist creature I put up above is the woodfall primus. It severely limits the combo pieces, but it's probably legal in more formats.
