I would run another {abrupt decay} over {go for the throat}. What do you plan to do against {living end}?

Edit: Wait, where is {path to exile}?

Living End currently isn't in my local meta so I didn't plan for ways to deal with, but if I go elsewhere or someone brings the deck I can adjust the sideboard a little. I do have shamans and oozes to hate on the GY. Which I was wondering, is 4 copies of the ooze too many? Moneekah is saying she doesn't care for it and I've looked at things like {batterskull} or {thrun}, but I'm fond of the ooze.

I'm not sure where to fit PtE in the deck, I looked at countless lists and no one runs in, which struck me as odd. It's a great card, idk this list is heavily BG so adding paths might impact consistency. I will probably add an abrupt decay like you suggested since its a more versatile card.

I don't know much about Junk so if none of the lists on www.MtGTop8.com run path, I wouldn't. I think four scoozes and for shamans is fine, since you'll have plenty of stuff to clear out from all your removal. I can't think of a better creature to put in there...

Yeah they aren't in the lists, I took it as a consistency issue and giving a land can be too harmful obviously when you have access to other great removal options.

(mtgtop8 has been very helpful, love that site)

Shamans are there for going t1 fetch -> tomb -> shaman and then t2 -> any land -> exile fetch -> liliana, among other things. As explained earlier, Scoozes are there for general GY hate, and goyf is just there, because, well, he's goyf.

I don't see why you'd run 4 scoozes, shamans, AND goyf.  That seems counterproductive, but I know nothing about junk...
This was Moneekah's reasoning against the 4th copy of ooze. However..

It's very removal/discard heavy, the graveyard ends up being fairly large on both sides. Late game goyf can be 5/6 or 4/5 pretty often. If the matchup has few creatures in the deck oozes can be sided out its not too terrible IMO.

It's not that bad when you think about it. Shamans will mostly eat lands and inst/sorc, Scoozes will mostly eat creatures, and Goyf only needs one copy of each thing in the graveyard. Also, every discard and kill spell puts at least 2 cards into the graveyard, plus fetches, so the GY will definitely fill up quickly.

Which is why I'm not offering any advice on the matter.  The graveyard can fill up quickly but it feels like the deck is fighting itself.
It does take balance, yes, but it generally works just fine. Don't forget Lili makes everyone discard

^Lilly is such a powerhouse in the deck, +1 discarding souls and flashing it back for protectors is sweet. It's a fun deck to play, I do need more practice with it and likely a  {Twilight Mire} over a plains.

I think we all just highly respect your opinions. :)

Yeah yeah, only thing I can suggest is {{Elspeth Knight-Errant}} as a one-of. She does a lot of what you need and might be better than a fourth Souls.
This is why we have ConanEdo....this is great suggestion. A flying +3/+3 Goyf ends games REALLY quickly....

Heh :P

I did try elspeth as a one of over an ooze but maybe I dropped the wrong card. 😱

This is an awesome list. To bad there is no support for modern here.

Have you tried {Knight of the Reliquary}? It would let you run some utility lands like  {Bojuka Bog} so you wouldn't have to run as many {Scavenging Ooze}, and it's a big beater.

Revisiting Junk and Bumping with my new list! Still trying to figure out the right ratio of kill spells. Would like some help with that, as I don't want too many slaughter pacts or dismembers but want to be able to protect my Lilly's (it's easier to protect Garruk since you can untap lands and pass). Not sure if I like 4 decays in here either... Fun deck so far, prefer it to BG Obliterator

Comments welcome! 😁

Edit: switched up a few cards, changed the kill spells to 2 pacts 1 dismember and 2 pulse. Hopefully this works out, I think the power level of pulse necessitates a second copy. Sideboard changed as well and I'm testing pack rat

Bumping now that BGx is relevent again! Here is my post ban list and Id love some constructive criticism. ;) I'm still loyal to bob, but I'm not sure if 4 is correct. There are other cards I want to test and will likely cut an Ooze or two.

I may cut bob down to a 2 of and add in 2  {Tasigur, the Golden Fang}. He is card advantage, and less life lost, and fills the grave for  {Tarmogoyf}. Also Have you seen the junk zoo version with {Noble Hierarch} into  {Loxodon Smiter} into rhino or tasigur. Just sayin that may catch fire over by you as it is jumping up here.

Maybe, most people can't afford the goyfs and other expensive cards so we have tons of random fringe/tier 2 decks in my local meta. Although someone is building affinity. I don't like Tasigur with any amount of bobs, IMO Junk could use Doran as goyf 5 and 6. Im going to try him out, I dunno, we will know more after the PT. I'm excited to see zoo back it's my favorite deck that I don't play.
