Title: T3 Karn in Modern
Post by: Mattao19 on January 02, 2014, 12:11:47 AM
How do people deal with a T3 Karn when he instantly exiles a land! As some of you know I'm trying to get into modern and need help

You don't. You either counter him, don't let Tron online that early (land destruction) or have enough of a board presence that Karn can't just exile lands and survive.

Call a judge over, and have the player removed for cheating.

F**k that guy.

If you're on the play you can  {Vendilion Clique} karn away. {pithing needle} naming Karn also works.
It's also worth noting that most Modern decks lack consistency ;) I've seen a U Tron player fail to get his last land to active the three and then have them all be  {Sowing Salt}ed away.

In short: a T3 Karn is a modern deck functioning extremely well. It won't happen every game, so keep that in mind as you prepare for G2.

It's also important for players to remember how this applies to their own decks and not get too cocky. I played my Bogles aura deck beating RDW (favorable) then Jund (bad matchup) and losing to Affjnity in the finals (favorable) I played the deck fine and packed lots of hate but didn't draw it and then missed a land drop for my  {Daybreak Coronet}. Sometimes that's all it really comes down to.

Ok cool well I'm thinking Esper so I will have T Seizes and {Heros Downfall} but I'm looking at other cards to help maybe to side in
