What do you guys are the worst rare cards ever? I'm thinking maybe {Spine of Ish'Kah}, but I don't really know.
{Despotic Scepter}
Spine also is removal when someone has iona
{noble panther}
My friends and I started playing for ante once. We decided to only allow rares for ante and someone had this.This card was the reason we stopped
The despotic sceptor Can be usefull if the creature has {stab wound} or something similar and you don't have another way to get rid of it.
The spine is great with {march of the machines} make it a 7/7 that keeps coming back to your hand when it dies and keeps blowing stuff up when it comes back to the battlefield

It's blue. That makes it awesome, it's huge for blue. For blue.
{One with Mothing} is only good in response to {Thoughtsieze} type stuff
I hates it
Combine barren glory and one with nothing along with something like {day of judgement} or another way to get rid of your permanents. Instant win
Day of judgment kills the barren glory... It's very difficult to pull of that win.

Spine works well with {Master Transmuter}, actually.
{Gallows at Willow Hill}, on the other hand, is another term for "firewood"
As for the gallows, I run 4 in my white weenie deck, it's really nice to have white removal.

one with nothing seems fine in dredge or self mill. and why would you do it in response to {thoughseize}? just made their card much more powerful.
edit: sorry for the failed quoting.

They have nothing to see, and wasted a powerful spell.
{Medomai the Ageless} assuming mythic rare counts.
I've pulled 4 of these and all I think every time is that it's taking the spot of {Master of Waves} or one of the gods.
Hate that card so much!
{Spine of Ish Sha} sees legacy play as a 1 of main deck and 3 more in the side.
what do you mean they have nothing to see? they see your whole hand go to your yard instead of seeing one card go the yard and letting you keep the rest.

It's in you graveyard, it's not like it matters, the graveyard can be checked by anyone at any times by choice, it doesn't really matter. They don't get to see anything you can play, not make you discard something, which is that the card does, they wasted a powerful spell, and they lose 2 life.

I'd pay two life to have you discard 1-7+ cards... Worth.
{trait doctoring} just a waste of a rare slot in a awful set

I'd say if you redirected the discard that rare isn't awful.
Trait doctoring would be much better if instant and could affect instant spells/sorceries

I really don't understand how you think this situation results in a player wasting a spell. consider both options. i {thoughtseize} you. you let it resolve. i see your hand and make you discard 1 card. i lose two life. situation 2: i {thoughtseize}. you respond by casting {one with nothing}. your spell resolves, and every card in your hand is discarded. {thoughtseize} resolves and its only effect is to deal two damage. you just basically let me cast 7 {thoughtseize}s for the price of one.

Conan, I think {Archangel's Light } is solid in EDH. It can be a clinch card for any deck that runs tutors to let you recycle key cards and the added life gain can come in handy too. That said, it's crap in any 60 card deck.
Now if you want to know the worst rare ever search no further than {search the city} (that's right mikefrompluto!). I can't imagine a scenario or format where that would be worth playing.
