Just got some dragon shield sleeves. I thought I remember reading someone double sleeving. I was wondering the pros and cons and what they use for the sleeve inside if it was dragon shield.
KMC perfect fits are what I use. The only con I see is the size of the deck.
Noah double sleeves with perfect fits inside of the dragon shields. The deck won't fit in one box and it looks like a PITA to shuffle. I wouldn't bother unless you have real (and I mean really real) value in the deck.
Pro- protects your cards really well
Con - cost of sleeves (spending double! And on dragon shields!)
-sleeving a deck twice. That's 200 cards for EDH
-Pain in the ass to change out
I would say yes if you know it's never gonna change...
What's the reason to double sleeve though? Have you messed up cards in single sleeves

When you have a playset of foil {jace! the mind sculptor} you do t want to take any chances.
Yea but I figured if it's a pain to put it in two sleeves there is a chance you could mess it up then
I double sleeve. KMC Perfect Fit inside a KMC Super. The deck is bigger, but it fits perfectly in my Leifkicker box (and Dragon shield gaming deckbox before it).
It's the only way to go. All it takes is one drunk maniac to knock a beer/soda all over your cards.

Do you put them in the sleeves the same way? Or put the open side in first in the second sleeve. So the first sleeve will be upside down in the second sleeve.
Yeah you put the perfect fit onto it upside down, put the card with the perfect fit in the correct way. Virtually seals it off completely.
The cheapest double sleeve
Ultra pros
Penny sleeves.
XD
Penny sleeve twice.

I've gotten repacks inside of two penny sleeves.
Magician? :|
But anyways main point is double sleeve. Although watch the cost.
Thanks for the insight. Gonna try one set and see what happens.
I don't double sleeve because I hate the giant deck it creates and makes it an annoyance to shuffle IMO. I use dragon shields and never have had a problem.

This is what I do
I'd spend almost whatever, and tolerate almost anything to know my cards were properly protected. Ive got some expensive things, and even more so now that I'm foiling the deck.
I double sleeved my Sliver EDH because its easily my most valuable deck (70-80% is foil) and I don't want the foils to cloud. It was definitely worth it, I won't take it apart and the list is done so nothing needs to be changed out. Moneekah is right though, it's a pain to shuffle (I have to do it in chunks) 😔
Ok how do you shuffle them? They are super smooth and seem to be a pain to riffle. Also the bottom side is fatter so it stacks unstable.

Well, I think it's depends on hand size as well (lol pun) but I have fairly log fingers/palms and I can manage okay to riffle half and then the other half and then carefully do one combining the two stacks.
Stacking is difficult, especially when the sleeves are new and slippery. It might look a little slanted in order to stay upright, I just go up and adjust it until its stable. As you play w/ the sleeves this will decrease over time! :)
I have decent size hand and a lot of shuffling experiences but seem to have a problem with these right now. I seem to every so often to get a sleeve inside another sleeve. So I try to riffle on a 45 degree. Guess I'll have to play more to get ride of the slippery feeling. Also any good cheap boxes for a 60ish deck
