The little sample play thing shows i can win turn 4 (assuming intimidate works)
But honestly I think i would get up to like 3 creatures to not over extend, lay on unblockable effects for the kill, but if i get wiped, refill battlefield with cheap creatures and the help of haste to try it again.
No play testing as of yet, I'm still waiting for singles in the mail.
Would appreciate suggestions for a sideboard (although i guess throwing in removal would be obvious. Was also thinking {toil // trouble}
Racecourse seems bad. Lightning strike would be better.
why 4 {glaring spotlight} in the main board?
edit: for unblockable i guess, but 4 mana seems really expensive for "hexproof and unblockable until EOT.
It lets you deal with hexproof blockers until your are ready to pop it and finish the game.
Racecourse was me trying to find a way to capitalize on haste especially for gore-house and firefist. I was also considering {purphoros's hammer} but it comes out too late i think
Spotlight is an early investment in a later game. I want to make sure i can hinder blockers as often as possible and that covers my whole battlefield
Im gonna take this (or something like it) to fnm this friday. With orzhov control and mono black being a thing, how desperate is intimidate in this meta?
{Armed//dangerous}
{rubblebelt makka} for blood rush
So after adding {Burning-Tree Emissary}, this went 3-1 tonight. Not bad--apparenty no one plays {Seismic Stomp} or {Glaring Spotlight} for it's unblockable sac ability around here B)
I mean in all honesty you could add {madcap skills}, totally let's you get by creatures early, can cast off burning tree and idk seems to do the job
But what to drop - the spotlights?
The unblockable from the spotlight sac ended several games at fnm and no one plays artifact hate. For example, I was playing some izzet dragon deck that got out 2 {Stormbreath Dragon}s, the 2/2 dragon token and 2 {Frostburn Weird}s. I was like "whatever. I sac GS. Swing. GG"
Yeah i was considering madcap but my local meta is heavy on control and there's so much removal going on that auras are risky. I'd rather have a cackler and spike jester turn 2 than a cackler with madcap turn 2 in all honesty.
What I'm most worried about is not having burn. I don't know what to replace so I was thinking sideboarding {bomber corps} but it's not nearly as good a utility as lightning strike
