I decided I'm going to do a pack to power to get the power nine so I can make a youtube video of me destroying them in creative ways that would make any veteran shutter. I'll post the cards I'm starting off with in a week or two

yes, because rice isn't white when harvested. They have to grind away all the nutritious part of the rice to get to it soley so it looks good
And I don't care. I've thought about this sense deathgarra mentioned pack to power. I'm going through with this

I completely agree. I have known about 20 people that try to do it and they never get anywhere. Why? Because that means u are asking people to loose value on cards. And almost nobody is willing to do that. So again, have fun with that.
It only increases the value of the others. So go for it.
I would assist you, except for the fact that you will destroy them. If you decide not to destroy them though, I would love to help.

osing value on trade items. Let alone standard cards and trying to trade for older ones.
Then again, some players are cool and like the trading concept of magic and are down with it.
I would say do this activity right when BoG is released and the values are so overinflated.
Right now is a sad time for standard magic and money.

I have seen some people who have done it (actually documented and everything) and they say the best thing to do is to get a pack of Zendikar so at the very least you get full art basic. Plus, if you pull a foil Fetchland, you don't have much to do.
