Title: Graft
Post by: Jlamb5 on December 26, 2013, 12:17:30 AM
I'm trying to find some additional grafting for my animar deck. Does the triggered ability limit the movement of counters to a single
+1/+1 counter? I checked the rules and found 702.57 but it didn't go into details.

I tried to link the ruling, but idk how......

702.57a (http://imtgapp.com/forum/index.php?action=imtg;area=rule;number=702.57a): Graft represents both a static ability and a triggered ability. "Graft N" means "This permanent enters the battlefield with N +1/+1 counters on it" and "Whenever another creature enters the battlefield, if this permanent has a +1/+1 counter on it, you may move a +1/+1 counter from this permanent onto that creature."

It says you may move a 1/1 counter, so you're limited to 1. Each source of graft triggers independently, so if you have 3 sources of graft, each one can contribute a counter for a total of up to 3.
