Title: Jank stuff standard
Post by: Mattao19 on December 25, 2013, 07:52:00 PM
I love building new decks especially janky standard. So here's a thread dedicated to janky standard combos they can be competitive or fun. They can be your main win con or as a cool synergy.

Mine is for my GW Hexproof I use {Prowlers Helm} as my finisher. It's not there to necessarily win me the game but its janky unexpected and fun

{Trading Post} with virtually any artifact generates a decent amount of CA over a game. Trading post is also good at keeping a {Desecration Demon} at bay.

I would say mazes end with {azor's elecuters}, {vraska! the unseen} + {rogue's passage} kiora, pillow fort and turbo fog would be pretty annoying. Never single douch win all in one.  (Kiora is part of turbo fog, and her emblem is really douchy too)

I've actually been building a deck based off of Vorel Azors and Kiora!!! Lmfao

{elite Arcanist} + {triton tactics} + {zur-taa druid} = infinite damage in standard.

I run {Codex Shredder} in my UW control list over Quicken #2. SERIOUSLY considering sideboarding/mainboarding a Trading Post just so I can go "infinite" with it. But legit, Shredder turns off Scrylands, Domri activations, etc. I've also used its second ability to regrow my dead Elspeth and cast her to get more tokens... Fun stuff. My friend used it to regrow a Verdict vs. a Blood Baron. You can argue that Elixir does the same thing, but show me multiple games where you crack elixir, have some kind of card draw, then draw EXACTLY what you need.

Yeah, I thought so.
EDIT: Yes, I still run Elixir, lol.
