Title: Split for competitive edh
Post by: Shadridium on December 23, 2013, 12:59:05 AM
Hello everyone, well here's my dilemma. I've wanted to make a more cut throught edh deck for a while, and {azami, lady of scrolls} really caught my eye. Sadly as I began to build my deck I came across several people talking about "five color {hermit Druid}" and it turns out they both win using {laboratory maniac} so my question to you guys is, if u have either piloted or played against these decks in a more competitive format what are the pros and cons of each and what are your preferences as a player.

Azami is more fun to play and more competitive IMO

Play {Prime speaker zegana} wizards and put azami in there.
With this deck you can flicker zegana with cards like {Deadeye Navigator} to draw your deck out. Green also lets you fit in ramp, {Hermit Druid} And another great plus is you have tutors like {Tooth and nail} and {Green suns Zenith} to search for your key cards!
I have played against my friends deck that does all this. He plays semi competitively and has never lost a game.

Sounds interesting I may build zegana and azami and run them in a few games against each other.

Hermit druid is better than azami. If it doesn't win by turn 4, its BACKUP plan is 1 shotting you with scion!
