Hey Imtg community!,
Just wondering what your plans are for another magical Friday night?
Are you participating in a good ol standard tournament or does your LGS offer other formats like Modern or Legacy?
For me I am planning on drafting some Theros hopefully pulling another Elspeth to fill my set!
Reply with your format of choice and the archetype you plan on ruling the night with!!!
RW aggro draft tech for the win!
Probably Modern, I took my Standard deck apart.

Modern, finally testing my RDW deck :)
My Friday nights are usually taken up by video games, but I do show up at my stores Friday Night Magic and Tuesday Night Magic (I KNOW RIGHT!?) when I can, despite the constant flow if Standard and Draft players. I play Commander, so I'm a little bit ostracised.

Dude, not cool. I'm not even kidding. -1. I don't care that you know it was me.

Awww c'mon, it was a joke, lighten up, shampoo a squirrel, so on and so on.
FNM is always standard constructed, which I have no interest in, (Modern and EDH player).
Ya, I would love to be able to build a functioning modern deck to say the least but I started playing in Gatecrash (harsh right) so my card knowledge and library is small so standard is where I am atm

I've been playing for over 10 years and the older formats take time, quantity/diversity of cards etc. don't worry, keep playing and you'll get there :)

Agreed, I'm still constructing my first Modern deck technically... Fetches are hard to aquire 😉 We've built 3 total though. We also have 4 EDH decks chocked full of goodies. Magic jut takes time, and money, I would be lying if I said otherwise. 😁 Just keep at it, and never stop learning new things about the game, like lolrus said, it'll come eventually.

You can actually replace time with more money... Just find the most recent deck to win a protour or Grand Prix in the format you want, go to tcgplayer and buy the whole deck right then. That took you a whole hour, then wait a couple days for it to show up at your door.
It's a lot more money than doing trades to, but still. You can replace time with more money.
No matter how good the deck is in the hands of a pro, someone who buys a deck online and tries to take it to an event is generally not going to do stellar. It takes lots of practice and knowledge of the format to perform adequately.
Staying home, since I have to drive my wife and kids to the Raleigh airport at 7am. Next Friday is modern, finally get to put my Merfolk to a real life test!!!
Standard. Playing my Orzhov Control deck I posted in the Standard thread. I played it last week and dominated control, Esper and U/W, but had trouble with Agro. Made some changes this week and am looking forward to tonight.
