Title: isochron scepter ?
Post by: DirtyMustachio on December 19, 2013, 05:44:26 PM
{Isochron scepter}

So lets say I want to put
{Far // away}
On it
Can I? Or is the cmc combined?

And if I can, do I get shenanigans with it or just the half with 2 cmc

The total CMC is technically the combined CMC so no.

You can and then you can cast either. This question has been answered 3-4 times since fuse spells came out.

Actually, yes you can.

12/1/2004   If the copied card is a split card, you may choose to cast either side of the split card, but not both. The split cards Fire/Ice, Illusion/Reality, Night/Day, Stand/Deliver, and Wax/Wane all have at least one side with converted mana cost 2 or less.)

It works.

Edit: Kaleo! Foiled me again! That's what I get for wasting time copy/pasting from gatherer :P

Really? Wow, I always thought you had to go by the combined CMC, thanks!
