I'm gonna print off my own tokens for my gf's Christmas present. I gave her the Lifeforce M13 preconstructed deck for her bday not long ago and she loves it, her first deck. She especially loves the token gen aspect from it, so I mod-ed it for her to focus a little more on that.
Anyway, my question to you arty types, what is the best cardboard to use to print from home with? I've got just an ordinary Photosmart home set up, I don't need them to look 100% similar, just enough that they'll be as durable and glossy as ordinary cards...
Thanks in advance peeps!
Id say the thin, glossy types. That's what I use, and I even used some to package your cards! You could use some of that ;)
A friend of mine de-inks junk foils using acetone (he days anything m13 or newer de-inks really well, except for dark ascension for some reason), which leaves him with a blank foil with an mtg back. He then uses some pretty high quality printing equipment to print straight into the blanks (as an architect he has some pretty good printing stuff and inks available).
I just got moved to the Creative Arts faculty at work so maybe my options have opened up... Thanks for the tips guys!
