You should add {Sanguine Bond} to help with the passive damage. Swinging for 4 is much less fun than swinging for 8 and a 12 point life swing.
Edit: Also {whip of Erebos} would help bring the newt back and give other creatures lifelink which combos well with {sanguine bond}.
Nice list. If you're going for flavor, you should run some {Toil // Trouble} though. Also, the quote from MacBeth is "bubble bubble" not double. =P

This isn't a Shakespeare class! But I still chuckled +1
The problem with adding Sanguine bonds and whip of erebos is it makes the deck even more complecated and high mana cost, when i would like to keep it fairly low mana cost. + getting everything out is hard enough without worrying about exileing the Newts and never getting them back.
I was thinking about maybe putting in some pack rats to get rid of the higher mana cost stuff that im not going to need like angelic accord and bogbrew witch. What you guys think?
Ps : sorry if any of the spellings rubbish im a bit tired here
I think you do need the Bogbrews. Tutoring for missing pieces of the combo is pretty important.
I'd definitely keep the bogbrews and the angelic accords. I've actually been working a list like this. IMO bogbrew is just too crucial to give up. I mean not only does it tutor but puts them straight into play!
Sorry there was a little bit of confustion over my last post, what i ment was putting pack rats in over something like strionic resonator to get rid of the higher mana cost stuff in my hand that is not going to be needed.
Iv played a few games with this deck so far and it seems that cauldron and the newts are the main combo that kills the player everything else is just a bonus. Having a witch out is nice but not needed, i find angelic accord is a better play over witch most of the time at T4/T5 as normaly you have gift of the immortal on a newt ASAP so theres no need to tutor up stuff.
Another problem im having is im not sure if gift of the immortal triggers if a creature dies and then comes back to the battlefield before the upkeep (have newt on battlefield with immortal on in, sac newt, newt comes back, pass turn, opponent kills it with w.e, i use grim return on newt, opponent passes. Does gift of the immortal still trigger?
Thx
I'm fairly certain I was beaten in magic online by a deck close to this list. He was using the cauldrons and elixers and another artifact I can't remember to keep gaining life and making me lose one each time. It was a very long drawn out game tho lol
Okay, so it seems you like fun decks. This was a deck idea a friend of mine had (only for fun, and maybe just to troll people at FNM). You use {Act of Treason}, {Breaking//Entering}, {Potent of Betrayal}, {Molten Primordial}, {Traiterous Instinct} and maybe {Smelt-Ward Gatekeepers}. Steal people's creature and sac them to {Bubbling Cauldron}.
