I really can't explain why I love this card so much. But somehow this rascal always manages to get into some funny mischief when I see him in EDH. Like by getting copied 6 times, or flashing in (with some help, of course) in response to a {Wrath of God} ("Wait for me guys! I'm he...Oh, crap."

Why don't you just swap out most of the creatures for 1 drops and do commander damage ?

I'm assuming you're referring to his 2 damage ability here. Unfortunately, commander damage has to be combat damage. His ability won't count toward CD.

I'd throw in {Furnace of Rath}, and my favorite red card ever created {Warstorm Surge}.

{Flayer of the Hatebound} and some Undying creatures maybe?
