Does pithing needle shut down Trygon Predators destroying ability, also, does it prevent tangle wire from workinf

They are. The needle will not work on them, as they are not activated abilities.
And here's some confirmation, from Pithing Needle's rulings on Gatherer, just in case:
10/1/2012 Activated abilities include a colon and are written in the form "[cost]: [effect]." Triggered abilities and static abilities of the named card work normally.
I'm guessing that it doesn't work because they appear to be triggered abilities but I just want to get a firm yes
