Title: Niv-Mizzet
Post by: easonej on December 10, 2013, 11:47:01 PM
Question: Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind's ability to do 1 damage whenever you draw a card does only one damage per time draw regardless of the amount of cards drawn right?

{Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind}. If you use curly brackets you can link cards (quote my post to see)

:P. Keyoto'd

Back to the question, I believe it's per card drawn.  So if an effect causes you to draw 6 cards, you could deal out 6 damage.

Niv-Mizzet's ability triggers per card drawn, because when you draw 6 cards, you're technically drawing one card 6 times, so for each time you draw a card, the ability triggers. For example: {curiosity} + {niv-mizzet, the firemind} is an infinite combo, because you deal one damage to an opponent, and niv-mizzet's ability triggers, which triggers curiosity's, and so on.

602.3c: An ability triggers only once each time its trigger event occurs. However, it can trigger repeatedly if one event contains multiple occurrences.

102.2: Cards may only be drawn one at a time. If a player is instructed to draw multiple cards, that player performs that many individual card draws.
