One of the best legacy combos out there :P also look at {Vampire Hexmage} :P
Still has summoning sickness. Gotta make the 20/20 on turn 1 or give it haste turn 2.
Toss in a {lotus petal} to make it T1.
T1: {lotus petal}, {sol ring}, {Thespian's Stage}, {dark Depths}
Course the only bad point is that as soon as you convert the stage, you have to sac the original depths because of the legends rule...
That's what {grim discovery} is for. Pull dark depths and hexmage back

It can't be T1 unless you have a card that allows you to play 2 lands on T1. If you have a card like that DO TELL lol
Possible... Bit more complex though.
Swap {sol ring} out for {mana crypt}, add in a second {lotus petal} and an {explore}
Cool story bro. Now sac a creature. =P
Call me slow but what exactly is happening in this combo??

Wrong. You have the option of which one to sac due to the new update to the the legendary rule.

When thespian stage copies a land, it doesn't copy the counters on it. So as soon as it turns into dark depths, it sees no counters and sacs to make the 20/20.

You do have a choice, but would you really sac the depths with no counters on it?

To activate dark depths, you need it to have 0 counters, so yes you would.

The reference was in regards to the legends rule, which activates as soon as the stage copies the depths, and, I believe, has to be resolved before the next step can happen, which is the stage/depths being sacked to bring out Marit
Ohhhhhhhh!!!!!!! Ok everything makes since now haha

I don't see the problem with having a 20/20 on the field by T3 and have it able to attack. Not a lot that can stop that from happening.
Except by t3, it is more likely an opponent would have a way to monkey wrench the combo...
Definitely not saying they absolutely will, but to have them on the defensive that early is a plus...

Enter {Darksteel Mutation}!!!!!
In response to the attack, I fuse {Turn // Burn} and target Marit Lage...
T3 Turn Burn is too tough to do in those colours though
{Lightning Greaves} that's right it's scoop time
Or just pull a t 4 {B.F.M. (Big Furry Monster Left)}, {B.F.M. (Big Furry Monster Right)} onto the field... ;)

Gary gusta!
Dammit, now I wish I had an image of {Gray Merchant of Asphodel} with the me gusta face.
Would {vesuva} copy the tokes on d.depths?
Unfortunately yes, since it would enter the battlefield as {Dark Depths}.

There's a reason that {Fastbond} is restricted in Vintage and banned in all other formats.
Including EDH :(
Exactly, same reason {channel} is... It is very powerful

That and because banning {Fireball} wasn't an option...
