So after seeing how many dragon cards exsist and how much ramp I have I'd like to make a good one. Is there any dragon cards that could be made standard viable? I know token decks with {dragonshift} mildly works, but can I do a purely dragon tribal ?
Probably not standard.
I've seen a few decks locally with just dragons, it seemed then player had a lot of fun playing it, it just didn't always go off as much as he'd like.
I know someone who's making his girlfriend a Maelstrom Drahon tribal deck. All Gates, Maze's End, all dual lands, lots of green ramp and augmentation enchantments and artifacts.
I would consider legacy.
Standard is so limited!
Legacy has some wonderful cards for dragon decks at a good price. {Dragonstorm} for example is a key staple, and you can blast people quickly or as slowly and fun as you want.
