Happy to do it, though last time I played you it was a turn four infinite combo. ;). I'll play my favorite edh deck, {nemata, grove guardian} Play whichever you want, though it will probably be more fun if you pick a low level competitive or a high level casual.

Haha ok ok... Yeah that sliver deck is insane...

Interested in playing a competitive riku?

Sure, whatever. I expect and deck called "competitive" in edh is just evil, and without multiplayer to gang up on the scarey deck I have little chance, but let's give it a go. :)

I had rolled a one, but since you beat me last time, I'll go first, cool?

Play forest. Play {elvish mystic}. Go

Lol ok ok fair enough... But you also run cradle and staff lol... So I know your deck has some power :)

Yeah, it is the newest incarnation of the first "real" deck...deck with a solid plan....I ever made. It started with gaea's cradle, {fungal bloom} and thilads. It has morphed into this over more than a decade. :)

On my turn, draw

{Taiga}

Okay, during your end step,

Taiga and sulfur falls for  {Sylvan Library}

My turn. Untap upkeep, draw (sylvan library dig)

Only keep 1 put two back on library.

{Tropical Island}.

That was a very fast grove guardian!

Thanks!  Turn three is the fastest I can ever get him out, so its a great when it happens.

Draw. Tap a forest for an {arbor elf}. You temp me to swing with nemata, but that lay line is an effective threat in your deck, with, what, 6 mana up?  Pass.

Ok, during your end step, tap out to flash out  {Mana Reflection}.

Untap upkeep - tap taiga and sulfur falls to untap mana vault, draw (sylvan library dig)

Only keep 1 put two back on library

{Command Tower}

Tap mana vault for 6 colorless, command tower for two blue and tropical island for two green.

Cast:  {Jace, the Mind Sculptor} and  {Seedborn Muse}

-1 jace : to put nemata back in your hand

Pass turn.

In response.   right after you play mana reflection, during my turn, I cast {slice in twain} targeting mana reflection, and make a saproling token.

Ouch - that's going to change my play as well then,  {Force of Will} -1 life and exiling the JTMS.  So during my turn everything remains the same except no jace and grove guardian remains on the battlefield.

So now I am at 39 life 0 cards in hand.  Well played :)

Draw. Play forest. Swing with nemata and with the saproling token.

Huh...my response was cut in half. Here was the first half:

Thanks! With the leyline and the mana rock, you gave some good targets, but i had a feeling that I would be glad I saved it.

Also, this is the first time someone has used force of will against me. I'm honored. :)

I think you made the right choice :)

As far as the force goes lol.. I could go a little Star Wars nerd here.. But I won't ;)

At the end of your turn flash in  {Riku of Two Reflections}

How much did I take from combat?

Also board update please :)

You took four commander and one non commander.

At the end of my turn I have three forests, boreal Druid, arbor elf, elvish mystic, nemata, and one 1/1 token.

And the cradle right?

On my turn. Untap upkeep, draw (sylvan library dig)

Going to keep 2, and lose 4 life.

Mana vault for 6, taiga for 2 green, command tower for two blue, tropical island for 2 green : cast  {Sylvan Primordial} riku makes a copy as he ETB

1st primordial etb : targets the cradle and fetches up breeding pool tapped
2nd primordial etb: targets a forest and fetches up stomping ground tapped.

Pass turn.

30/1

Oh noes! In response I make 4 saproling tokens. Play a {saku tribe elder} and pass. I think my odds have drastically reduced this turn.

Sylvan primordial is a beast, especially copied... But now you will see what I paid 4 life for last turn... And the end of your turn

{Avenger of Zendikar}... Copied by riku...

So, the first one etb : makes 6 0/1 plant tokens (if they had said saproling this card would be even more busted)
The second one also makes 6 0/1 plant tokens...

On my turn.

Untap upkeep, draw (sylvan library dig)

Going to lose 4 life to keep 2.

Mana vault for 6, tropical island for two blue, taiga for two red : breeding pool for two blue : so one blue floating after...

{Rite of Replication}   KICKED..... And COPIED by riku...original targeting the avenger and the second one targeting the sylvan primordial...

Want me to do the math lol... Or gg?

Lol. Gg. I checked and my next card and a forest will not get me out of this. Lol. Gg!  We can play again if you like, though my deck doesn't do much better than that. :)

+1 GG :) lol looking at my board state right now.. Lol 7 avengers 7 sylvan primordials... It's silly.. Plus insane tokens... We can play again, but why don't I play
A different deck... Btw this deck does even better in multiplayer :)
Title: Re: Modern, standard, or edh
Post by: Ieatfood7 on December 09, 2013, 03:28:57 PM
I bet it does! I love slow Johnny decks, so most of mine are better in multiplayer, though I always gamble since most Johny decks are fragile. {curse of deaths hold} or {linvala, keeper of silence} destroys my green deck, as does any Tim or repeatable targeted creature damage. More people equals more time to gear up, but more chances for so one to have the answer to my deck.

Post by: Arzair on December 09, 2013, 03:33:48 PM
Well, my riku isn't slow.. As you could probably tell lol... It isn't as fast 1v1 as slivers... But in multiplayer where I usually compete for prizes... Wow it can get insane...

Okay so as far as different edh decks go (ones that will be fun) I have a silly wort, goblin auntie Goblin tribal that might be fun :)
Title: Re: Modern, standard, or edh
Post by: Ieatfood7 on December 09, 2013, 03:37:49 PM
Sure. I have a Jarad, a Kemba, a Sliver Queen, and Nemata. I also have an unpolished Seige Tower deck.

Which would you like to see?
Title: Re: Modern, standard, or edh
Post by: Arzair on December 09, 2013, 03:42:25 PM
I will be playing a silly goblin tribal... So anything tribal should be good fun :)
Title: Re: Modern, standard, or edh
Post by: Ieatfood7 on December 09, 2013, 03:44:32 PM
Well, slivers is my only tribal, but it's not silly and you saw it. Doran is semi tribal, so I'll go with it. Its a budget deck and was made to be a little more silly. Never tried it yet. Get ready!

Aww...well, if you have any deck that is not competitive, I'm now pumped to test doran.

Sorry, just got a call, apparently the snow is getting really bad at my fiancé's school... So I am going to have to leave for now... Sorry, we will have to play at a different time.
