I'm already all over this challenge. I nearly put {Altar's Reap} and it's sorcery speed brother {Skulltap} into my {Nekusar, the Mindrazer} EDH deck. I tend to look at things from an EDH perspective, and I'm already brewing some ideas. I'm looking at either Zombie tribal with {Thraximundar} as the general, a {Karador, Ghost Chieftain} sac-all-the-creatures deck, or maybe a {Tymaret, the Murder King} deck. In any case, it's gonna have Altar's Reap, numerous sac outlets, ways to draw cards, and plenty of shenanigans to be had.
I'll see about spreading this to the MtG subreddit. Maybe they'll come up with other crazy ideas.

90 card casual play IRL deck, so cards are limited to what i actually own, focuses on sacking weak creatures to scavenge and beef up others, other key points are the use of deathtouch, trample, and insta-kill cards to intimidate the opponent out of attacking, running over their defense with the creatures beefed up by enchantments and scavenges, and countering any game-impacting creatures they might have. it also has cards that come back or have the ability to come back onto the battlefield the turn after they are sacked, this is another possible use of {Alter's Reap} in this deck.

Notes: This is my first submission for LasyGrixis' Altar Reap challenge. I will be making improvements to it as time goes on, and I may actually try building it.
The whole idea of the deck is to get out creatures, sac them, then bring them back with Karador or by other means. I threw a few Treefolk in there to reveal with {Murmuring Bosk}, and some other utility creatures. It's still a bit scattered, but I'll hone it with time. I literally brewed this in two hours.

Taysby, this Challenge is purely for the joy of building and seeing others creations. These decks have nothing to do with whether or not they could win in a pro tournament; they just have to have a concept and, above all, flavor. I stated in the video that you could build any type of deck you wanted, from Standard to EDH, so long as Altar's Reap was included.
I built mine in the spirit of the card—mainly, the saccing part of it—, not just the card itself. I made a deck that would like sacrificing its creatures and recurring them. This allows Altar's Reap to work, but also opens up avenues for other plays.
Sidenote: By building around Altar's Reap, I don't just mean make that care useful. You can build a "Graveyard" or "Demon" flavored EDH from the Flavor text of Altar's Reap ;)

As far as if you were to ask about an interview, even though I probably won't be picked for one, I don't do well with cameras as I hate my picture (there may be one in my entire house). I could easily "phone in" though if you wanted. Anyway like the idea and happy to see you back :).
I have a feeling taysby is a going to be picked. His is pretty .dang. creative.
He makes a good point about the trade off of altars reap taking a creature and a card for 2 cards. But the way my deck works is sac a pyro token so you get another one back, and deal 2 damage with snipe, so I don't lose a creature, gain a {shock}, as well was drawing 2 cards. But his deck is very interesting. Would like to see it in action.

I did another challenge on here where you had to build a deck around a random card and I did an EDH deck, I liked the concept so much that I actually made the deck IRL! Haha

I just immediately though of sacrifial lambs and spamming them to their deaths into Blood Artist :D
I mean hey, if you're gonna sacrifice someone on an altar, you should at least give the blood to someone like {Blood Artist}. Otherwise you're just being wasteful!

Yeah, I know what you mean, but his deck doesn't have {Spiny Starfish}, so it's clearly the inferior choice.
