So I was wanting to buy purple eye contact
But a lot of people warned me that wearing non prescribed contacts can cause eye problems. Anyone know any truth to this?
It's not a good thing to touch your eyes if you don't have too. Less chance to poke your own eye out if your not forced to touch them.
I won't poke my own eye out I'm just wondering if there's a genuine risk to wearing general eye contacts.
Well, contacts themselves can cause eye problems if you sleep in them, wear them too long, don't put them in right, mess with them too much, trap something under them, ect. So I guess it would just be all those problems. As far as affecting your eyesight I would just caution you to make sure that looking through them doesn't make your vision slightly blurry, but I doubt you'll go blind or anything.
Alright thanks ice. And no it'd just be for half a day at max.
Ah, you should be fine then, just be careful putting them In and make sure they are clean. I got -2 vision but I'm a glasses guy. Actually just got some new frames the other day.
My brother got contacts for Halloween, ripped the suckers in half. Moral of the story, buy good contacts.

I have contacts, and once they split in half in my eye. I had to go for 3 hours of band practice with only 1 contact in. Moral: be careful with contacts, and follow the replacement suggestion (switch after two weeks)

I still trying to save up for LASIK surgery, no glasses to scratch and no contacts to tear...
but you can still get stebbed in the eye-hole. :/

AND IT LETS YOU SEE BETTER
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
Everyone asks me why I don't get LASIK... Simple. My eyes move too much. Even when they numbed and clamped them, they move too much... Therefore, I am not a good candidate for any eye surgery

And hence, I currently wear glasses
You should wear your glasses when you get the surgery to protect your eyes :3
They Do! Let you see better. Except for when they don't. Like coming into a warm room from the snow. And you're blind from steam for like 3 minutes xD
