Who plays what and why?
I play casual Commander, and that was so I could enjoy long 1v1 games. I've recently had a falling out with the guy I'd play with, and now I'm looking to go competitive.
I play casual, the most competitive thing I do is FNM for Standard, oh and prereleases. I play Commander and Standard; and the last pieces of my Pauper and Modern Decks are in the mail now.
Casual. I even play competitive casually. I'm not letting tension and nerves influence a game!
Competitive, but mostly because I enjoy playing the game at a competitive level, though I don't really play super regularly. Pretty much playing only Legacy, though I'll be playing modern at Richmond.
Both! Most of my FNM's are competitive, but I occasionally run jank, and when I do it has a {Young Pyromancer} one way or another. Then there's EDH. Which is a whole breed of its own.
I've always been casual/collector but thinking about turning competitive limited.... A lot of work studying and playing different mecanics i'm not used to. To all the MTGO players out there I'll go ahead and apologize now cause that is what i'm going to use to develop on. Lol
I love the dual play style of EDH. Sure, I usually throw in house rules like no win-cons, no insta-gib combos (like {Kaalia of the Vast } + {Master of Cruelties}). But it's always casual, and always competitive. It's awesome.
Mostly casual. I've just recently got into standard and drafts and it's fun but casual is awesome :D I don't usually do too many competitive things. Even my standard decks... Some are fun ones :) assassin themed, gorgon themes. I have maybe 3 competitive decks but that's about it (2 standard, 1 casual)
Casual, with a competitive spirit!
I am very much a competitive player, I do however relish the old days of casual play through commander. I enjoy working hard at something and having something to show for it. I like challenging other's mentally. Even more so I love when what I find fun can be something that one pays for itself and two even makes money.
I like to dabble in all of the things
I have no desire to play if it's not for fun. Competitive play can be fun sometimes, so it doesn't DISinterest me, but the casual environment lets me just simply play, smile, and have a good, worry-free time. And that's what makes me happy.
Casually competitive ;)
Now it's pretty much casual. I used to play super competitive, but since the new sets I haven't payed attention.
Fnms and a prerelease here and there, but mostly casual. Hoping to get over to GP sacremento!
I am very much a casual player. I like to sometimes make silly decks. Like 10{Swamp}, 4 {Leechridden Swamp}, and 46 {Shadowborn Apostle}.

Make 'em think you have a demon!
EXACTLY! And when you don't they get confused and they conced! I wish.. I haven't had a chance to play it yet though... I need the leech swamps :p
I love both unfortunately I'm still relatively new to the game (started in Jan) but I love it! I've been to 2 competitive tournaments. Both with janky decks both times I went even 4-4 with {Wild Beastmaster} and 3/3 with a semi-janky GW Hexproof with {Prowlers Helm} as my finisher Lmfao I love showing up to a tourney with a nice homebrew and playing people who just got their net deck shipped to them lol I still believe (to me anyway) that there is nothing better than playing a card and having my opponent go "what is that?" Lol
Also despite me only going to 2 tournaments. I find that net deckers (not all but a good portion) have absolutely no idea about how to play their decks lol it's funny seeing them misplay (but also sad)
When I go to these tourneys I'm just cool and calm I go to win obviously but if I lose I say goog game and shake hands. Because TO ME (not to everyone) magic is a game that's meant for fun above all else :D
