Title: Simple kweschun
Post by: Nobbert on March 19, 2012, 06:31:46 PM
Okay, I get so confused about the little nuances so here's another question: 3/3 creature with first strike+deathtouch attacks 4/3 creature with double strike ( or vice versa ). Deathtouch wins right?  What if deathtouch wasn't involved, then what?

They both die either way they both have first strike and would both die during first strike combat phase.

Okay. I thought double strike added a secon combat phase after the fnormal one whereas first strike was before the normal one. The difference between post combat and pre combat

Double strike has first strike built in. It just adds another volley of damage

It does but they both deal lethal damage to each other during first strike phase the double strike dude never gets to deal normal combat damage
