Usually. But just do best you can, then cover it up by getting someone or opponent to cut the deck thrice. 😉👍

Yep. Here's some tips.
Go buy a pack of normal ace to king, 4 suit playing cards. (here we can buy them from the supermarket, and they are actually not bad quality)
anyway, buy those and jump on YouTube for some instruction.
You may need to filter past all the cool dancing videos of people "shuffling" etc etc.
This should give you some really good practice at learning how to shuffle, and some different techniques. And you can do it wherever without too much ridicule.
I've played plenty of poker and other card games so you actually become pretty good at it.
Best thing is, you won't mind wrecking these extra cards as  you learn, they are cheap and easily replaced (same cannot be said for mtg cards)
Good luck and have fun :)

Buy some sleeves for your cards and side shuffle. It's so easy a caveman can do it.

Side shuffle?

I alternate between dealing the cards out into random piles (5 is the "Magic" number :P) and cutting the deck in two halves, then hold them loosely side by side.  If you have sleeves, they should fall into each other quite randomly.  Does that make sense? I'm not sure if I explained that well enough.

I just hold my deck on its side grab some and just drop it infront or back few at a time. Side shuffle.
