I really hate the postal service right now. I have a trade that I haven't received yet, it's been about a month. He's a trusted guy, so no issues there. Also, I have 3 {Master of Waves}, due to tracking, that have been stuck in Pittsburgh for two weeks now. They were supposed to be delivered November 7. I've contacted the postal service several times with no responses. This is just so frustrating!!! Grrr!!!
Yeah. And I had found a good deal on those masters too... Like $5 each... Pretty much all I need left for my Merfolk deck
I'm frustrated too. Every time I go to the post office to send some cards for a trade, they try to charge me like $2 for postage! Like, I've gotten a ton of cards before with only one stamp on them, so what's with that crap?
I remedied that by getting my own account from stamps.com and weighing out my own postage. The less I have to deal with the actual post office, the better.

No problem ;)
Sometimes USPS gives me grief with the toploaders in standard envelopes. To avoid this I just drop me off in a box, I get tired of explaining my hobby to them lol. :P

Haha I've had a mailman ask if I was making false IDs 👍

All my trades cost me 2.97
That is a protected bubble wrapped mailer sent first class (3-5 days) with a tracking number.
I send my stuff in an envelope with a toploader to keep it from getting bent. But the first time I went to the post office to send some cards, it was only like $0.42.

Sorry for asking, but what is a toploader? I'm working on multiple trades (I've never traded online before) and I'd like the cards to be sent in the most safe way possible.

this is what I use to ship. I can send a padded mailer for around 1.69 with tracking.

Just go down to the link on this page...Hella easy and saves tons of cash on shipping. Hope it helps.
I contacted the seller and they said they would raise hell with the postal service to try to find my package. Once I get I'll be happy :)
My dad's a rural letter carrier, and he told me one time that if you don't get a letter/package for awhile its stuck in the postal Bermuda Triangle and it will be while before it gets out and back on its way; that is if you used the United States Postal Service

Where could I buy some if these toploader things?

Walmart has a box of thirty (i think) for like five bucks.
USPS is so weird. I'll have sent two trades out on the same day. One to Canada and one to AZ (one state over) and the package to Canada will arrive a week before the one to AZ. What the heck!

this reminded me of something. So I'm in NC but really close to the VA line, right? All my mail and packages and stuff go like 50 minutes past me to the middle of NC, then come back to my mail box. It's really stupid...

I've noticed that, too. I had someone who lives five minutes away send me a graduation card, and it took a week or so because it had to go to a city 30-40 minutes away and come back.

That's probably where it gets lost. At the big sorting plants are first sorted by town/village/city then they're shipped to that town/village/city and are sorted by address. Most packages are lost at the the first sorting plant
I just received a survey in my email asking me rate their recent service in regards to my complaint. They pretty much got 1s all around since they have never contacted me...
I've noticed when I use tracking everything moves much quicker through the USPS.

Oh, there is tracking. That's how I know it's been stuck in Pittsburgh since November 2. :(
Damn that sucks :(
When I moved this last May and had my address changed I bought a {Batterskull} that took about 2-4 weeks to get to me. The tracking said it went up to my parents house, back to be resorted then back to sender (bought on eBay so it went to TX), then after a week of no info it was updated in my current city and a day later was in my mailbox.
So that's the frustrating thing, youll get your cards... eventually. if it didn't have tracking I would have prob been refunded by the seller.
Sent in another request to search for the package. The seller also contacted them. Hopefully I can get responses now...
Got a response from UPS today. The email said either: the package is in "purgatory", meaning they can't deliver it and they can't send it back, or just plain lost. If its in purgatory, they open the package in an attempt to find addresses, then attempt to mail it. If no addresses are found, the judge the value of the package. If they value it over $25, they hold on to it. If valued under $25, they destroy it. I'm like, wtf? 1) how do they lose a package with tracking, and 2) who are they to determine the value of a package?
...Aren't the addresses on the front...?

...Aren't the addresses on the front...?
It all depends. Since mine is a military address, if it doesn't match up exactly with what is in their computer system, they won't deliver it. It's a frustrating cycle. I was given a number to call for a person in the complaints department, but there was answer all day.
I see what you mean. That sucks. I'm sorry USPS sucks, and I hope you end up getting your trade.
Yeah. I was finally able to speak to someone about it. They are doing a search for my package, but it may take up to 90 days to complete.
that sucks bro :(
There is only one way to get all your shipments delivered: Be extra karma nice to your local delivery guy/girl! If they ask around for your shipment they usually find it (happened to me, that they actually send an apology letter!). And being nice is damn easy, take some delivery for your neighbors and be sure that they get them, once they know you are reliable they will sure help you any time you need them to
I've noticed that USPS gets bad around this time. I've had three postman changes this month, all with different schedules and ways of handling packages. I've received bent cards and I've also had one postman mark that my package was delivered when it wasn't...it was still on his truck and I received it three days later. I really hope your issue gets sorted.
