Fail. My friend had 4 life and i was holding a {Primal Cocoon} and a {Fling} with a {Strangleroot Giest} on the field with its +1. I got greedy and flung the Giest bring him to 1. For 5 turns all i got was mana. He killed me from 20 to 0.

Mine was a me, 4x {Goblin Cheiftian}, 2x {Chancellor of the Forge}, 47x 1/1 Goblin Tokens, {Bloodmark Mentor}, {Goblin King}, {Rise of the Hobgoblins}, {Reckless One}, and a bunch of other assorted little gobs.
How did I win?
I {Voracious Dragon}, devoured all the non-tokens, {Kiki, Mirrror Breaker}ed it, devoured the tokens, killed a massive {Scourge of Gier Reach}, and dealt 94 damage to my 67 life opponent. He was like😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😑😑😑😑😑😑

I was playing for first in an fnm tournament, I was playing haunted humans, and my opponent, who owns the card shop was playing a wierd control deck with {crown of the empires} the throne and the staff or whatever it is, any who, I was at like 5 life, he was at one, I had two spirit tokens in play and he had {diregraf ghoul} and a {gravecrawler} oh I also had {grand abolisher} he tapped all but two lands playing the last of his empire cards, then activated {Druidic satchel} which of course he gained two life from. He opted not to attack to save himself imminent death from the spirits and abolisher. So I swung with my spirits, back at one life was my opponent. And I top decked a plains. I had no more creature in my gy to feed to {moorland haunt} so I was stuck, on his turn he took my abolisher, activated the satchel again, just to put salt in the wound, and then smashed my face. Top tier deck lost to a funky take on ub control.

In terms of epic wins though, I was once toying with my opponent while spawning saprolings, then used {Garruk Wilspeaker}'s 3rd ability, effectively attacking with 215 power ;D

My friend did something similar with his Token EDH to me, but it was about 30,000,000 damage from a bunch of 10/10 saprolings. 😰😰

I JUST finished a similar game with my bro..I made a post about it! I gained 13051347456 life and he lost 13051347456 life.

{Primordial Hydra} ftw! (Vault for lifegain....and deathtouch but does a 13051347456/13051347456 need deathtouch lol)

The win itself was not as epic as the start of the game. It started with {chancellor of the spires} followed by 2 {archive trap}s when my opponent searched his library first turn. Needless to say milk won the game.

I was playing on Cockatrice last night just filling the board with creatures and dealing steady damage to my opponent.  He did not cast one creature but instead he kept board wiping with {slagstorm} and {black suns zenith}.  I had him down to three life and he cast {sorins vengeance} to finally deal damage to me on like turn 8 or so.  I cast {wurmcoil engine} and was happy that he would have trouble dealing with it since it will give me tokens when it dies.  His next turn he casts {sorins vengeance} again FTW......I hate sorcery victories like that how lame.

My opponent and I were both playing green decks with our creatures at a standoff, and he finally decided to throw down an {overrun} and swing for game. I was pooping myself thinking of how I'd block so that I could still live to seethe next turn, but with troll cards like Thrun and even his birds would get me with their flying. I was about to scoop when I looked in my hand and saw I had a {fog}. I kicked myself, threw it down, then swung for game on my turn with all his creatures tapped.

Farting has saved my ass soooooo many times bc no one ever expects it. I always end a game with at least one in my hand bc it's a life saver against overrun and the like.

And by farting, I mean fog. 😝 when I play it, I usually say "it wasnt me"

At 2 life, opponent significantly higher, swing with{Chandra's Pheonix}, {goblin wardriver}, {goblin fireslinger} and {goblin arsonist}. He kills the wardriver and drops to 11.  I have no answers in hand. { faithless looting} to try and come up with something to last even another turn. Top deck two {goblin grenade}s. win.

I had an epic battle with a Treefolk vs. Treefolk match. My opponent had two {Orchard Warden}s in play, two {Leaf-Crowned Elder}s and three {Timber Protector}s with a bunch of tokens created from {Reach of Branches} that he'd bounce to his hand. My side had three {Timber Protector}s and a bunch of nontoken creatures I played including three {Dauntless Dourbark}s.

He had over 300 life before I could do anything, but then I drew {Lure}, attached it to my {Treefolk Harbinger}, and attacked with everything I had when he was tapped out of mana. Won that round.

I got mana screwed with two mana, one was an inkmoth nexus, my opponent was playing mono blue control!! He got two inkmoths on the field, when he animated one to block, it met a gut shot. Next turn he animates the other to block, and I got it with another gut shot, he scooped after that!! I haven't let him forget that game, and he still hates me for it!! After this game he ripped apart that deck and traded away many of the cards he needed to play it with and built a R/G aggro with the cards he acquired from the trade!!

To win last fnm, had my opponent down to 17, his delver mill deck was eating me for breakfast, I had a {chandra's Pheonix}, {goblin wardriver}, and {gobblin fireslinger} on the table. {goblin grenade}, {arc trail}, and {shock} in hand, he mills me for three of my last four cards. On my turn I pull my last card.... Another grenade. I kill his blockers and swing with no response, bringing him down to 10, then watched the joy of victory fade from his eyes as I dual grenade for the win in my second main.

My opponent is down to six life. I have 12 left, doesn't matter because he has a swarm of tokens and two intangible virtues and will easily swing for lethal next turn. I have used all my creatures as chimp blockers to hang in this far. Ping him with my only creature left at {goblin fireslinger} at the end of his turn. Top deck an incenerate, goblin grenade the slinger, only to have him pay four life to {dismember} it in response. Tap two mountains, incenerate his face for the win. He didn't even shake my hand after the game.

This was at grand prix new Orleans I believe. Tzi mowshwitz(sp sorry) won with that infinite time warp oath deck. Anyhow. I wanna say it was round four and I'm playing UGb cognivore oath ( which I barely missed top 8 with unfortunatly). I'm playing against hermit druid/ sutured ghoul nonesense. Game 1 he wins roll and plays mox diamond, pain land, chrome mox, hermit Druid. I play island and pass. Upkeep ( which I'm still unclear why he did this now) activates Druid and starts milling his deck. Mills 13/13 a verdant force, anger, and sutured ghoul. I'm not happy. He kills his deck, looking for his only basic land - a mountain, which happens to be the bottom card of his deck. He taps his diamond  and pain land (chrome mox tapped for Druid) and attempts to flashback Krosan reclamation. I respond tapping one island and tabling force spike. Tapped out he moves to his draw and loses game 1.

Win Die Roll: Play First

Turn 2: Swing, Mountain, 2x {Goblin Grenade}

Turn 3: (Opponent at 7) Swing (6!) Mountain {Goblin Arsonist}, Arsonist again (they {Vapor Snag} First Arsonist)

Turn 4: Staring down a Delver, swing with token, connects, play Arsonist, Leaked, Grenade, Game.

EDIT: I think it was a turn 4 kill, not 3. My dude got vapor snagged and then leaked next turn, the Grenade was a top-deck win for the first Arsonist after opponent tapped out playing Delver on his turn and leaking my guy on mine. I was giving that deck too much credit XD

THG game. I was using my B/U zombie my ally a white metalcraft. My two oppenents 1 W/U token and W/U Myr.
They had alot of token spirits and myr creatures out on the field. I had {Mikeaus, the Unhallowed} 4 {Diregraf Captain} and a {Geralf Messanger} my ally just a 6/6 {Mikeaus, the Lunarch} with a {Armored Acension}. He drew a {Wrath of God} and i talked him into using it. I responded by {Undying Evil} my Black Micky. BOTH oppenents used {Ghostway}. So white micky was the only casualty {Troll Face}. so i preceeded to {Geth's Verdict} myself saccing the Messanger which already did 6 damage (2 for its ability upon undying this turn and 4 from the caps) dealing 4 more damage winning the game.

*clap...clap...clap...* Love it!

Had my most memorable win just now.  We did a two man draft 3 dka 3 som.  Played best of 5.  We end up 2-2 and played the 5th game.  Long story short he gets me down to 1 life hes at 8.  Previous turn I drew into a very much needed red land with origin spellbomb.  He has 2 flyers so I play cerebral eruption and hope for the best i need at least 2 cmc to wipe his board of 4 creatures especially the silverclaw griffin.  His very words were this'll be the time I reveal ghoultree and that's exactly what it was he took 8 damage giving me the win.

Ivwas playing cube draft and i milled y opponent to one card with {Nemesis of Reason}. On what was to be his final turn, he played a {Platinum Angel} and had no cards in his deck. On my turn, I played a {Platinum Emperion} and we had the sweetest {Standstill} ever. We called a judge over and his response was "do you have any removal in your deck?" I said yes and he said mill until you find it and you win. It was the second to last card in my deck and I won. RIDICULOUS.

I was playing edh and wasn't doing so hot, mainly because I kept casting {phyrexian obliterator} and one of my opponents kept taking my {Kiku of nights flower} and having the obliterator hit itself, that is a sucky situation, any way I played a {sorin markov} and was able to get that player down to 2 life and an opponent finished him off, I tutored for a {cabal coffers} to get my mana base a little better, and didn't have any thing on the bf, so no one really messed with me, there were three of us left and one of my opponents played a creature that makes someone's life total 10, he chose my other opponent, as I wasn't much of a threat, then on my turn I drew an {exsanguinate} I used sorin's second ability, now both of my opponents were at ten, then exsanguinated their butts! For the win!

"for some, it's not about money. Or power. Some men just want to see the world burn."- Alfred Pennyworth, The Dark Knight, Scene 32 one hour twenty four minutes and thirteen seconds in.

So I am testing Death Gaara's JunkWalker deck on Cockatrice.  I have Sorin out with 5 counters so I do a +1 to get him to 6.  I already have tokens out, plenty of mana, I am at 12 and he is like 4 life or so.  He just has a couple nana dorks and an {invisible stalker} with 4 +1/1 counters on it.  I cast {Gideon Jura} and do +2 to make his stalker have to attack Gideon and I should be able to win next round.  His turn he casts {zealous conscripts}, steals {Sorin lord of Innistrad}, and does his ultimate whereby he proceeds to kill off and steal Gideon and 2 other creatures of mine.  I had to give him a slow clap for that win cause it was an awesome comeback.

Sanctifier. Few turns later his buddy goes "if he gets silver blade out your screwed" I draw silver blade paladin and then use my two malicious intents to make it so his two 4/4 Angela can't block. He blocks everything I throw at him, but the double strike in paladin gets through to take his last two life. It was awesome. You had to see it to believe it.

(if a creature blocks a double striker and it does from first damage does the second hit go through to the opponent?) only if it has trample

Multiplayer. One guy using angels. One guy using human ramp. I'm using my mill deck. I had {undead alchemist} out. {Traumatize}d one of my friends. 14 zombie tokens. Played {sewer nemesis} and chose that player. My buddy starts putting out angels. I also had {geth, lord of the vault} in play with 6 lands untapped. Could've taken any other flying creature but decided to steal a {wingcrafter} from the human decks GY. Bonded it to my sewer nemesis. Flying 30/30 sewer nemesis > angels. Both of them got fed up with the control and forfeited. 😝

Turn after that I casted {Phyrexian Metamorph}, copying the sphinx, then used {Go For The Throat} on his sphinx. I had the sphinx the whole game and made {Liliana of The Veil}'s ultimate go off twice on 1 copy of her.

After he confeded he saw that he had a {Nicol Bolas, Plainswalker} as his last card and third from last.

He plays mutilate and he has three swamps so it effectively wipes the board except for his 5/4. He then proceeds to play {heartless summoning} and tries to pass the turn. One of the best wins ever.
I made a deck with only mana dorjs and take extra turn cards. It was a {G}{U} deck and I was facing a mono-green aggro.
So I took his attacks then he tapped out on turn four. I started pinging him with {Noble Hierarch} and then I would take an extra turn and hit him again.
I think I took 12 turns in a row. So I was on turn 17 and he was on turn 4 when I won!

My friend was playing reanimator and he started out with a {Dark Ritua}andsome other junk into t-1 {It That Betrays}.
Smiling he passed the turn.
I Drew,

{Tribute to Hunger}
My friend got pretty pissed....
That's awesome.

Serves him right for playing a reanimate deck. Bar none, IMO those decks are the
Lamest decks to play since they exploit the rules of M:tG the most. Stasis/lockdown decks are fine but reanimate decks really grind my gears.

Years ago around invasion block me and my friends entered a big 100 card highlander tourney, we were maybe 15 at the time. My buddy had gotten razzed for putting in {final fortune}. I'll be damned if he didn't win the whole damn thing with it, he was playing against a blue control deck the guy lets him play it thinking he's pretty much given up, but he gets the last land needed to play his {urza's rage} kicked. It was amazing he won like 700 bucks of product compared to like 200 for second.

On cockatrice playing my {Riku of two Reflections} EDH. {Genises wave} for 9, copy, 3 {Rampaging Baloth}s out before. I get like 10 land in this process. Last card is {Craterhof Behemoth}, copied 5 times,25 creatures out for +150/+150 ;D. Swing for over 1000 trample damage, win. Dude was so mad

My friend, playing a life gain-centric deck, played Ajani and used his last ability after a couple turns (killing him) to summon a 70/70 avatar with trample and attacked me.  I used Chastise, killed it and gained 70 life XD

A friend of mine was playing a {Kresh the Bloodbraided} deck and he had it up to a 73/73 and then he attacked after putting a rancor on it.  I was using a life-gain deck and I had 103 life. I went down to 28 then he passed his turn.
I drew. Played {Suture Priest} and then {Mercy Killing} for the win!

I just faced a fellow controller on cockatrice, and had a few good wins.

First game we had answers for each other the whole freakin match until finally he cast {Tamiyo, the Moon Sage}. Right after that, he cast {Gideon Jura}. I had 0 board presence. All I could draw was lands. My health was on the higher side because of a few nighthawk hits and some {Tribute To Hunger}s.

He got his Tammy emblem, setting the annotation to "GG" on the token. Pompus? Not in my opinion. Tammy's emblem is really good.

He swung with gideon and made an army of {Lingering Souls} tokens. On my turn I {Sever the Bloodline}ed hos tokens. On his turns he continued to beat me eith gideon. His library was thinning. His mistake? He used {Forbidden Alchemy} to draw 4 cards.

My turn. I drew {Go for the Throat}. perfect! On his turn, he made an army of souls tokens. I was at 4 life. He had no more cards in library. He animated gideon and BAM! I went for his throat.

Did I just win against Tammy's emblem by waiting until my opponent decked himself? YES!!!!!!!!!!!

Game 2 I sided in the usual drill against control: the sorin combo. I left in {Liliana of the Veil}. I took out all my creatures but 2 {Phyrexian Metamorph}.

Ignoring the probable 4 turn "draw-go" fest that control decks have at the start, he cast a solid looking {Consecrated Sphinx}. my next turn, I metamorphed the sphinx then killed his.

Then he exiled my metamorph with a card I forgot. Whatever. As the game went on, he made an army of {Sun Titan}s with {Phantasmal Image}. 3 on the field, and 2 more cast from hand.

"You are going to hate me." were his words before casting the last 2 images.

"you are going to hate me when you remember what's in my graveyard." was my response. Next turn: flashback {Sever the Bloodline}. bye bye titans.

Near the end, I had my combo in hand. Sorin? Check. Next turn my opponent made a hige missplay. He had elesh norn and a sun titan out. He had a bazillion lands and {Vault of the Archangel}. he did not activate vault when he swung. Next turn I used {Sorin's Vengeance} to finish {Sorin Markov}'s job.

Did my opponent missplay? Yeah. Did I still win? Yeah. So do I still feel even slightly good about it? HELLZ TO THE YAH!

After that match he seitched to GWR reanimator. I was VERY LUCKY this game because I drew my only 2 mainboarded sever the bloodlines early on. Long story short, I exiled all his stuff and swung with a 14/14 {Phyrexian Obliterator} + {Lashwrithe} for the win.

PRETTY BOSS WINS :)

He had just oblivion-ringed my {mayor of avabruck}. I had 2 4/3 Wolves, 2 3/3 {Immerwolf}, 1 9/8 {Wildblood Pack}, and a lot of other 5/4s. I played {Full Moon's Rise} and swung in for 27.

1st turn I played a midnight duelist
Next, my foe played a 0/4 wall
Then I played a somberwald vigilante
Next, he played a llanowar elves
I played another midnight duelist and a Kruin striker and attacked with somber wald vigilante, since tapped his wall for something (I forgot) and he took 1.
He then played a big green 3/3 or 4/4 and tapped his llanowar elves.
I then played crusader of odric and attacked with Kruin striker, somberwald vigilante and a midnight duelist. He blocked Kruin striker with his big green guy  and he took 2. He then played a land attacked with big green, I took 4.
Next I played captains call and played a riot ringleader. I attacked with crusader of odric and his wall was destroyed. He then just played a land that turn and  then I played a captain of the watch and ended my turn. Next, he then played a 1/1 with battle cry and ended. I then took the game by storm and played zealous conscripts. I stole his battle cry guy and tapped everything and looked up at him. He then cursed at me and told me it was bare luck of the draw, to this day he never admits defeat.

Well besides deck proportionality and proper deck construction, all it really is is luck of the draw. 😝

I warned the 2 people I was playing with that I had {Jarad, Gogari Lich Lord} in my standard deck and they were fine with it. We were sort of at a Mexican standoff, one of my opponents gaining life, the other spawning humans at a crazy rate, and I was slowly building my wincon.

I cast Jarad one turn, and a {Vorapede} the next two turns.
I attacked the lifegain opponent when he was at 27 with a Vorapede and he didn't block it. Bad choice on his part. I tapped all my mana and sac'd each Vorapede twice with Jarad's ability. They each lost 22 life for the win.

Holy bejeebus. That is a nice play. I had a similar thing with my "Pile of Dirt" deck. Everyone is just sitting and bidding their time and I just got fed up, wanted to play halo, yelled "f*** this", tapped three mana and sac'ed my {lhurgoyf} and yelled "STOP! HALO TIME!"(insert Hammer tone here). Everyone was like wtf?  I had a {necrotic ooze} on the battlefield and a {jarad golgari Lich lord} in my gy. So my creature, between all of our graveyards was in the 40/40's range. No way anyone survived. I really wanted to play halo. Lmao. My friend literally could not believe it.
