Is it just me or is anyone else tired of seeing the same standard decks being used over and over again? Sure they may have minor changes but they're the same idea. It just really gets tiring after awhile. Now i'm on this forum a good amount and it really ticks me off when I go under the standard section and all I see are reposts of the same deck with minor changes. Standard has become a world of mirror decks and I am seriously discontented.. Blah
/rant/
I agree, so I usually build my own standard decks, not netdeck
Oh me too but here there all the same :p
Yep
I use powerful decks that have been prebuilt in a sense. Of course I made changes for what I like to do, but I would never post a deck that everybody knows. I'm with you on this one. I know what BR vamps looks like UB zombies. Deathstrike, for example is an awesome creative deck and not only that, it's made by someone new to the MTG scene.

Deathstrike was by far the best deck I've seen in a while
I thought that "Digging the Hole" deck was cool. I think that's original. And btw, true it is frustrating that everyone uses variations of like 3 decks! But it challenges you to be original! Also if you know what most people have you can counter it well! Same thig goes for super smash bros against someone spamming marth c stick.
I try and make new decks, but they turn out to be decks that everyone already hasðŸ˜

I love SSBB and there is nothing new or special about "Digging the Hole". It's just another variation on heartless Lich. Multiple people play the very same deck at my LGS.
That's the thing about standard. There's a reason why certain deck archetypes show up all the time, because the Pros have figured out what the most powerful builds are given the limited selection of cards. If it's not competitive, it's not making the top 8. Standard is not really the place to put interesting fun decks and homebrews, unless you think you've found something the top tier players have overlooked. Standard is a place for FNMers and competitive players to sharpen their tools.
I usually don't spend much time reading in Standard, as that doesn't interest me.

Hm, I prefer SSBM.
