What do they do there? Can someone give me some deck ideas? Don't want to be laughed at :( my cards are on my page I have like 20 of each land!
FNM is is simply a weekly Magic tournament under the format of Standard. Its the best place for beginners to learn how to play.
Coolio... Any deck ideas spikepit out of the cards I have listed on my page!
I had a quick glance, maybe Blue Red flying control? That means all the counterspells, unsommons, take control of target creatures, direct damage and all the fliers.
Have you gone in the shop and checked that they do Standard tournaments? My card shop does a Draft every Friday instead of Standard

What's a draft?

What's a draft?
Each player receives 3 booster packs. You open one, then take one card out of it, then pass it to the next player, recieving a pack from the person next to you. You then take a card from that and so on, until theres no more cards. You then open the second pack, and repeat. You're basically making a deck out of the cards you get. Then afterwards, whether you bring your own or the place you're at supplies you with them, you add basic lands to complete your deck. Depending on where you are, drafts may be limited, like mine where we have a 45 card limit. Then, with the deck you just built, you play against other people, and see how well you do. Once you're given an official DCI membership card, the head organizer may record the results of the event, so you can see your wins/losses.
Does that help any?
A little what is a dci membership?

The DCI keeps track of all of the sanctioned events that you've entered. It also gives you a score in what they call "Planeswalker Points". When you enter your first sanctioned event you'll have to fill out your DCI card, which you will need to hold on to if you ever want to play anywhere else. Not essential if you don't plan on entering anything big
I'll put it in my wallet :3
