Hey guys, just got the new Esper Commander deck. I'm thinking of making it only lifegain and maybe making a separate Artifact deck (which will need more work). Are there any lifegain cards that are must haves? Any recommendations?
{Rhox Faithmender}
{Divinity of Pride}
{Ajani, Caller of the Pride}
{Serra Avatar}
{Ajani's Pridemate}
{Felidar Sovereign}
{Celestial Mantle}
Edit: Oh and {Matyr of Sands}
{Sanguine Bond} {Exquisite Blood} combo.
{archangel of thune}
{Serra Ascendant}
{Ajani Goldmane}
{Beacon of Immortality}
{Celestial Convergence}
{Invincible Hymn}
{Path of Bravery}
{Reverse the Sands}
{Storm Herd}
I just typed 'life total' into the database search and selected Text instead.
{Augury Adept}
{Daxos of Meletis}
Or anything from Soul Sisters modern really
{Elixir of Immortality} perhaps
Don't play {Serra Ascemdant} it should be banned in EDH a T1 6/6 Flying lifelink is a tad op and everyone hates the person who plays it
Isn't {Felidar Sovereign} banned in edh?
No. It's good but not amazing.
Any Black Drain life things? Or blue?
Thanks for all the recommendations.

Blue doesn't exactly care about life gain.
Black, however, loves to drain it!
{Exsanguinate}
{Debt to the Deathless}
{Death Grasp}
{Pontiff of Blight}
{Obzedat, Ghost Council}
{Siphon Body}

But you start at 40 life, I think it's a lot easier to win with it than in constructed. Especially if u make a lifegain deck

It (and your life total) has to survive until your next upkeep. It's not as easy as you might think in a multiplayer game when you put that kind of target on your head. I've {Scapeshift}ed into all 10 gates and {Maze's End} a couple times and lost before the maze could untap more often than I've won doing it.
Flipping through my binder and saw this: {Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendant}

Yeah I see your point, never actually played with or against it.
I play against it all the time and haven't lost to it yet. Someone drops a board wipe or targeted removal before the caster could get any defenses on it.
