How about the walking dead? Thoughts or opinions on this show
Show:
Season one: amazing.
Season two: soap opera with an occasional zombie. Gross.
Season three: ditto. Neutered the Governor and Micchone.
Season four: pleased so far. Harkens back to the first season.
Comic:
Can do no wrong. I'm excited for the Walking Dead #116 next Wednesday.
It's like a bad habit for me. I could watch something more cheery & uplifting like reruns of Firefly or a Miyazaki film but here I sit watching my favorite characters suffer week after week.
I've loved all three seasons and this one is just as compelling. I only read up until Shane died in the novel so my expectations aren't based much on that. Dang mike, how could the Governor be more horrible? I almost stopped watching because I was anxious about what he would do to my heroes...

Trust me. He's WAY worse in the comics. The comic Governor makes the TV show Governor look like a school teacher. Rick got off easy in the show compared to the comic. Even worse than the Governor is Negan. He's just downright despicable.
At the current point in the comic, there's a guy with a pet tiger. I wonder how they're going to do that in show if it lasts that long.
I'm excited about the spinoff Kirkman is writing. It's going to be independent of the comics. Sometimes I feel ashamed for comparing the show to the comic, so it'll be nice to have something that I won't do that with.
Catching up on Season 3 right now as a matter of fact. Quite enjoy it.
Addicted to it and I don't know why. It's very over dramatic. That makes it interesting in the aspect that you get to see life after an "apocalypse" an how people cope/survive, but, the drama has been a bit overboard in season 3/4.
I want to watch it so badly but my parents are worried "it's too scary! ( :( lol )" could someone tell me if it's really intense or not so I could watch? Thanks 😊

Not really. I have seen horror movies at the theater that are more graphic/scary. The only complaint a parent might have, unless you are talking about a really young kids, is the violence. Even then, that actually isn't very heavy.
I have two small kids (3 & 6) who would be scared by it to varied degrees. Any normal kid over 10 should not be scared and should be aware that the violence is fake.

Thanks, starting it soon :)
There are zombies involved. Of course it's violent... I wouldn't consider it scary at all, though. Maybe a bit graphic at points.
Yeah, only thing that might be otherwise objectionable is the language. I'm not bothered by it but some might be.
