Title: Hex proof equipment

Ok I was playing other night I put an equipment on one of my creatures and that gave him hex proof then my friend uses a card that destroys target equipment does the hex proof save it

702.11b (http://imtgapp.com/forum/index.php?action=imtg;area=rule;number=702.11b): "Hexproof" on a permanent means "This permanent can't be the target of spells or abilities your opponents control."

So as long as the spell targets the equipment not the creature, it can be destroyed.

Only the creature has hex proof not the artifact itself.
