Title: Question
Post by: Birdbrain on November 06, 2013, 09:33:32 AM
How would a deck with no creatures win? Or even survive?

It's definitely doable but it just means you're relying on a combo to win, like Storm or {Scapeshift}. You either need to be fast or resilient so you can stay alive long enough to win.

Mill and discard decks. I've glimpsed and mind funeraled opponents without creatures befofe

If no combo, just half removal half burn i would think :/

In order to capitalize most per spell (in order to end as quickly as possible) things like {Wild Ricochet would be good}

I'm not great at making decks...

Well, the deck I have in mind has creatures, but the deck makes it so they die immedeatly upon entering the battlefield. Just trying to figure out how to make it work. I know there are other decks out there that use {heartless summoning}, but I want to do this with it

Is the goal to have them die immediately? Or is that the problem you're trying to solve?

i already solved it, {heartless summoning} I'm just wondering what else I would need to make the deck work

Minds desire + tendrils of agony with lots of 0 costs = good game. Haha

40 card deck, with these two was pretty much an automatic win.

{shatter} good game.

I still think {Mind's Desire} + {Tendrills of Agony} = good game.

Don't think I've seen a shatter used in a long time.  And if we are gonna play that game on what works to kill your deck what are you targeting because I can just keep recycling my elixir.

I ran a blue black deck souly countering their creatures then either mind control or reanimate their own creatures:p

I run a "curse" deck that has only {bitterheart witch}'s for creatures, removal ({barter in blood}, {soul ransom}), {curse of thirst}, {curse of the bloody tome}, that type of theme. It's not amazing, but it does well and is fun to play.
