Title: Serene master
Post by: Taysby on November 04, 2013, 05:23:50 PM
Say I have out {serene master} and I block a {mitotic slime} with 11 +1+1 counters on it.  Does the master get the 4 power listed on the slime, or does it get power from the +1+1s too?

It would only become 4/4 because the counters stay on the slime

The master would be 15/2 and the slime would be 11/15. Same thing would happen if the creature was enchanted or equipped.

I agree with this until something informs me otherwise.

I got this from  {Tree of Redemption} rulings I think pertains.

9/22/2011   Any toughness-modifying effects, counters, Auras, or Equipment will apply after its toughness is set to your former life total. For example, say {Tree of Redemption} is enchanted with {Spectral Flight} (which makes it 2/15) and your life total is 7. After the exchange, Tree of Redemption would be a 2/9 creature (its toughness became 7, which was then modified by Spectral Flight) and your life total would be 15.

Great work finding a related circumstance. That is one of the greatest traits for a judge or just a rules advisor.

Rasser is pretty handy on rules...
Just the easy ones. The rest I leave to the pros like Kaleo42
