Title: Safe haven
Post by: Deathseide on November 01, 2013, 10:01:56 AM
Ok, was wanting to know if the ability of {safe haven} returns the creatures to play simultaneously or if the creatures could be returned in any order.

Example: sacrifice {safe haven}, having several elves in play and a {wirewood hivemaster} as well, would I be able to return the hivemaster first to use it's ability as the rest of the elves are returned?

All of the creatures will enter simultaneously, but the Wirewood will see the other elves entering and trigger for each of them.

Quote603.6a Enters-the-battlefield abilities trigger when a permanent enters the battlefield. These are written, "When [this object] enters the battlefield, . . . " or "Whenever a [type] enters the battlefield, . . ." Each time an event puts one or more permanents onto the battlefield, all permanents on the battlefield (including the newcomers) are checked for any enters-the-battlefield triggers that match the event.
