Title: No clue what to call this combo
Post by: Deebiia on October 30, 2013, 08:38:10 AM
 {Apprentice Necromancer}  out. {Emrakul, the Aeons Torn} in the graveyard.  {Warstorm Surge} to deal 15 damage, then get an extra turn to do as you please. Or just get Emrakul out turn 3. Whatever floats your boat.

This won't work because as soon as Emmy hits the graveyard, it is shuffled back into its owners deck

You could try it with {deaths shadow}

Emrakul's ability is triggered when it hits the graveyard, which means it will go on the stack. While that happens, you can use the necromancer to reanimate Emrakul.

It's valid.

You don't get the extra turn though, you're not casting him.

Doesn't matter, 15 from warstorm plus he gets haste from the reanimation swing for another 15 and that's game, or in edh you've taken your opponent down to 10

Depends if you use reanimation after you've already attacked....  Haste doesn't mean anything then.

Would emmy's protection from colored spells be relevant in this case?

It's an ability, but I'm not sure if that matters..

Nope you can do this as long as it's a creature ability... It's why intrepid is feared

Emmy is only legal in Duel Commander (French RDH rules). So they would be dead! ;)

Anyone ever made an artificial edh with Emmy as commander?
He's banned in EDH
