Hey,

My opponent has a creature with persist.
I play a {Swords to Plowshares} and copy it with {Uyo, Silent Prophet}. How does the stack handel this. Does the persist creature return to the battle field imediately and can it be targetet twice?

The persist creature wouldn't return to the battlefield because it didn't die

And if it was a destroy effect? Would it etb as a new creature so the target isn't legal?
