I was fumbling through the Card Database when I found an interesting card, and started wondering...
Situation: I have Abyssal Persecutor in play. The opponent's life total is 4. I deal them 9 damage. Next turn, they cast a spell that says they "gain 3 life", then kill my Abyssal Persecutor.
Question: Can their official life total go down past 0, leaving them at -2, and losing?; or does it stay at 0, rendering their life total at +3, and living to see another round?
Thank you in advance. :]

Yes anyone's life total can be below 0, but as soon as it does they die BUT if there is a card out like {Abyssal Persecutor} then they can have -1,000 and still not die. But as soon as the AP dies the negative life causes a loss in the game
Thank you Mattao19! I'll keep this in mind. :]
I had this with a friend and I got him to -64 and I kept trying to kill the AP but he had counterspells ... Lol
Run this with {platinum angel}. Nobody leaves until I say you can!
