Hey guys!
So October is coming to an end, and Christmas is barely two months away! What better way to celebrate Christmas than free magic cards???
So here's how it works:
Any number of people will join in. Once we reach, let's say, Thanksgiving, I will assign people a random person who is also in this program. All addresses will need to be in by this time, although this can probably be done by a mod if you're more comfortable with that. You will then get to come up with a gift for your person. This can be anything magic-related! A cool t-shirt, that awesome commander life counter everyone wants, an altered card, something off their needed list, you name it! When we get to about 7 days before Christmas, I will request everyone to send their gifts. This is to ensure people recieve their gifts by the 25th.
There WILL be criteria to join:
•you have to have had at least three successful trades. At least one of these people should be able to vouch for you if neccessary.
•you must send a gift worth over $5. This is to ensure that someone doesn't send a foil {utvara hellkite} and recieve a theros {mountain}.
•you must be part of this community for at least 1 month, beginning Nov. 1st.
RULES SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
So, have a discussion about the rules and stuff below if you want, and I'll be accepting PMs beginning Nov. 5 or at a moderator's discretion.

I always have to send first in trading because sometimes I send out late. One trade I was supposed to send a shock land. But left it in my pocket and it got warped, so I had to send another one. I'm unorganized. Often lose thing. And am having an increasingly busy life
All those qualities together plus a big influx of cards that I would have to repackage equals a big disaster
Seems like a good bet. I'm in. Although I usually get the shaft in these grab bag situations.

this was my thought process behind using a mod to repackage and redistribute, but do what you guys want. It was just a suggestion

I would only use non-participating mod to make a bag-draw... To define who is whose Santa and then send the PMs to each participant to who is he sending...:) All you need to know is to who are you going to send, nothing else matters, right?

You don't have to write a return address. All that'll happen is the mail can't be returned back to you if there's trouble with the receiving address.

If it will be sent internationally send earlier, but its 3-5 business days, so 7 business days (8 days) should be fine.

Would it be possible to let people post whether they received their gift or not and have it marked next to their name or highlighted so that we know if our gifts get there without having to spoil the anonymity? Thanks!

This is considered lying (you agreed to send when you signed up for this) and stealing by imtg law, so you can expect a trial to open up in a week or so if anyone is still missing their gift.

Because the people who haven't sent yet arent molding a good image for themselves in this thread... I'd think some time in the last two months you'd be able to send. Granted, there are the rare cases where you literally have no downtime, but those are re extremes... Just my opinion.

I made it a priority to send before Christmas because it was part of the rules. If you can't follow through, don't join in the first place.
Exactly. I did the same thing. Although it helped that I actually was trading with Arbitratur in December lol, so I just sent it with the trade.

I made it a point to order my giftee a card online just so it could get delivered to Canada safely, haha. Last time I traded, I think it was the 5 rare giveaway from or to Mattao maybe, it took like a month so I make sure to go all out when it's across nations 😧
