Title: Conundrum
Post by: Birdbrain on October 24, 2013, 08:05:19 AM
Let's say that {enter the infinite} comes in from suspend. I have 4 {simian spirit guide} in the deck. Is there a way to turn that 4 {R} into enough mana to cast my entire deck? The second color of the deck is obviously {U}

Well, sense the infinite had come in from suspend, all your lands would be untapped. So there's more to work with than usual

You probably would have enough to cast  {Omniscience}. Then you cast anything else.

{Jhoira of the ghitu} is how {enter the infinite} is suspended

Nevermind. I have an idea of how to pull it off, and am making a deck for modern right now

Assuming you get a land every turn, cast Jiora 3rd turn and activate her ability 4th. 8th turn cast Enter and with Simians you can cast Omniscience.

I'm not running {omni science} in the deck. It would take way to much devotion to it, and make the deck inconstant

I need a way to constantly get {enter the infinite}

And there are ways to speed up suspended cards

Or you could use her ability twice and suspend both Enter and Omniscience on one turn (assuming they're both in your hand)

Do you have a {Feldon's Cane}, {Laboratory Maniac} or something similar so as not to lose the game the turn after from drawing the last card in your library? Just curious for your battle plan.

I GOT IT! This plan assumes you have access to a single {U}, via {Lotus Petal} or something of the like.once the infinite is done, exile the 4 guides and cast the maniac, and then cast a {wild guess} and you win!

cool. And I would have a {U} available. Because at the time {enter the infinite} goes off, all my lands will be untapped

No, because you would draw the remaining cards, then win next turn. The rules state that if you would draw a card with no cards left in your library, you draw the remaining cards without penalty, then the next draw lose, or in this case, win. So you would need 2 seperating card draw spells

suspend {divination} with {enter the infinite} and you can do it on the turn {enter the infinite} goes off I think

Actually. The {laboratory maniac}s ability isn't limited to the upkeep. Read its wording of its ability

Also, you don't have to trigger {enter the infinite} being cast from exile during the upkeep. If you remove the last time counter with a spell, you can trigger it anytime...hmmm...

If I throw in {teferi, Mage of zhalfir} I can cast all my creatures on my opponents turn in response to them attacking

Bingo! {fury charm}

 {Jhoira's Timebug},  {Shivan Sand-Mage},  {Timebender},  {Timecrafting}.
But {Fury Charm} is probably best.

Oh wow! That's quite a find! That's then, what.. 2 turns of suspend before you essentially win? Impressive.

Edit: I also like how you pretty much answered your own original question :p

actually. With 4 {simian spirit guide} in the deck. You can drop two {fury charm} and gain back the mana like nothing happened

And sense {enter the infinite} prevents you from losing till your next turn (by empty library). manamorphose} is an option here

We could gain mana with stuff like {burning tree emissary} an {battle hymn}

Wow... With your entire deck in your hand the possibilities are endless...

No it doesn't, you just have no maximum hand size so you don't have to discard, you still lose if you try to draw from an empty library

So all you need is jhoria to last a single turn with infinite in hand and some time, and you basically win

i guess. But you only need her to last long enough to suspend the card
