Post by: Dudecore on October 22, 2013, 12:06:54 PM
Wizards announced "Vintage Masters" for MTGO. It will contain the Power 9 with fresh artwork and other reserve list cards.

I wonder how much these virtual cards will cost...

Whatever it is, it'll be infinitely lower then the paper version. Originals duals sell for about $20 right now, and Power 9 are only good in 2 formats (Vintage and Classic) which aren't wildly popular. Speculating at like $15-$20.

Question is: if I get 4 sets, can I redeem them?

No. It would violate the completely stupid, game ruining Reserve List.

Someone seems a little annoyed with WotC :P  Although, I'm in the same boat.

The flavor on the new art for all nine cards is incredible.  Love the darkness of the {Black Lotus} and the Zendikar-ness of the {Mox Sapphire}!  {Time Walk} looks awesome too.  Very cool.

Ditching paper for digital is looking more likely for me. Especially considering all the P9 is restricted in Vintage, so I'd only need one of each anyway.

Until the interface of mtgo is updated I won't play it. It's so poorly done and makes no sense at its quality when you look at the dotp games.

The Beta is shiney. It looks pretty darn close to Duels. It's just a bit buggy, but much less so then it was a year ago. Give it a free trial, the guide I wrote covers the beta.

I have too much love for physical cards. Although this is pretty sweet.
