Title: Guile counter ability.
Post by: Deathseide on October 20, 2013, 08:50:48 AM
Ok, I am wanting a detailed clarification on the card {guile} exile and cast ability...
If you use a counter spell like  {Miscalculation}, and your opponant pays the mana cost, would it still count as 'could be countered'? Thus triggering the ability of {guile} to exile that card?

It sounds like you misread the text as could be countered instead of would be countered. You only get to exile/cast their spell if it is successfully countered.

You cloud get around this by running {Guile} and {Dovescape} and get yourself infinite bird tokens
