Title: Nezumi Graverobber
Post by: Gabriel Gusso on October 19, 2013, 07:06:24 PM
Do I need to pay it again when my opponents graveyard reaches zero cards, or it becomes the 4/2 instantly when there are no cards? Would appreciate a rulling.. Nezumi Graverobber.

I'm pretty sure you have to activate the ability again when there aren't any cards left. The last sentence that flips the card is part of the activated ability it's not separate.

You don't have to activate it again. Once you remove the last card, the ability sees that the graveyard is empty, and will flip him.

In fact, you CAN'T activate the ability on an empty graveyard, since there's nothing for the ability to target.

I think he was asking if the opponents graveyard reaches zero cards without using the ability to get there, goes he automatically flip or do you have to use the ability to make the graveyard go down to zero for him to flip.

He doesn't flip automatically. The only way for him to flip is for his ability to resolve.

So, if there are no creatures on the cemetery I can't flip him, or I can, but paying it's cost?

You can't flip him if your opponent has no cards in their graveyard already. You have to resolve his ability to flip him and you can't activate it in the first place if there's nothing in his graveyard to target. So if you want to flip him then you need to get rid of the last card in your opponents graveyard using his ability, then when his ability resolves he'll flip.

Hmm, guess your ruling is right, but makes him much weaker than I thought he is

Thought of {feldons cane} and alike to empty the grave. I know that feldon only works on my graveyard
