Title: Great Play but is it legal
Post by: Mattao19 on October 19, 2013, 04:29:19 PM
I play GW Hexproof and I have a 7/7 Gladecover out and all but Mutavault is tapped my opponent forces me to sac a creature with  {Far // Away} (Away side) so I tap my  {Mutavault} in response so I have a colorless floating and make my vault a creature and I choose to sac it.

My question is, is it legal to tap Mutavault to make the same Mutavault become a creature? I think I can I just need a 2nd opinion

I would think so. It says that it needs {1}, and no tapping, and by tapping the vault, you are producing the required {1}. But that's just my opinion.

It is legal. It's a really useful combat trick against black sac spells. I even use it in my black newt deck when I have sanguine bond out and I can go for the kill
