I traded a {mutvualt} in m14 for {Frost Titan} with the m symbol and {polukranos, world eater}. And {pathrazer of ulamog} mythic rare , and {tibalt, the fiend-blooded} and wanted to know if that would be a good trade
the cards you mentioned are at most worth $12 and Mutavault is $15-20.. so you lost a little on the trade
People will usually overstate the value of their own cards and understate yours and sound completely genuine about it, you need to always have iMTG up to ensure you don't get ripped off. Don't be afraid to ask someone to look up prices for you, if anyone rushes you into a trade you're not comfortable with, it's usually a bad sign!
That being said, if you're happy with the cards you traded for and would use them more than the mutavault that might have just sat in your trade binder, then you didn't come out toooo bad.
^agreed. Back in my noob days, I traded away a foil Damnation for a hand full of "cool" Rares. It was a learning experience for sure. Always check prices before a trade goes down, even if you don't particularly use the cards you're trading away.
I wouldn't say you got ripped off if you got cards you needed or wanted.
Ultimately it's your responsibility to make sure you're getting the value you want out of a trade. I will sometimes lose a few dollars on a trade if I'm getting something I need for a deck so in those cases I don't feel I'm being ripped off in those situations. On the other hand I don't feel bad making a trade that favors me in value within reason, since again, it's up to you to know the value of your cards because the people you're trading with certainly will.

Trade for money, not what your deck needs.
A buddy of mine bought what he needed on a weekly basis. With all the meta decks changes, he was constantly buying and selling {Thundermaw hellkite}s. Ended up losing money with all the constant switches
He ripped you of in high price but mid you got a few bucks.

Seriously though, yeah, you might have lost a little bit in value, but does that matter to you? What's more important is how you feel about the trade, not how we feel about it. Are you happy with the cards you got? Are you going to have fun using them? If yes, then the trade you made is just fine, wouldn't you agree?
