Final Fantasy music is always fantastic. Part of what made XIII/XIII-2 gorgeous. Those two and X were my favorite. XIII is also the only soundtrack I've had on my mobile device.

FFVI (US 6) holds a special place in my heart as does the NES LoZ. Lots of great game soundtracks out there.

Legend of Zelda, super smash bros and bioshock have pretty good soundtracks :D

The theme song to mad father is kinda nice too O.o

Hideki Nagonuma is pretty good did most of them catchy sonic soundtracks
Also the entire soundtrack from PSO is amazing cant wait for Phantasy Star II

I'm so happy someone mentioned armored core, I've been a fan since master of arena, great music. Also demon/dark souls is great, a lot of froms games have great music.

I remember buying the first one when i was a kid. Love that series. Although the music always wound up being like... hyper-repetitive tech/synth stuff and I think I'd get annoyed if I just had its soundtrack
