Wizards won't tell us. The biography of Ashiok always uses male pronouns (he, him...) but Mark Rosewater claims that it is only because it was too hard to right a whole biography without pronouns.

Yeah I saw the a few people have a older uid than me, it makes me happy to know there are still some og people here. Yeah jester was one of the coolest guys to ever come to this app. He is truly missed here. Among many others. We have lost a lot of really awesome people for different reasons.

Pre-Mending, walkers were basically immortal, ie Urza had his head chopped off and he was still alive. Once the Mending occurred, Jeska used some planeswalker "energy" to seal the rift, which diminished walkers powers greatly. Bolas is trying to regain all that power back. Perhaps that is why he unleashed the Eldrazi Titans

That's what I needed confirmed, even pre-mending walkers are weaker, not just newly made ones.
