Title: Yes Ma'am & No Ma'am
Post by: LadyGrixis on October 11, 2013, 05:28:26 PM
I don't know if it's because I was born and raised in the South, but it melts my little heart all to pieces when I hear a guy say "Yes ma'am" or "No ma'am", especially to me! Nothing more attractive than a man with manners!

What are some little nuances that you find attractive in a (potential) significant other?

Love nature. A strong woman. Compassionate and kind. A little hard to handle or feisty (don't care which). Adventurous. Possibly fearless. Confident, but not so much that she's stuck up or doesn't know her own faults. Energetic. Outgoing. Someone who would rather just sit back and let life happen around her than try to chane the world. Who values life and is grounded in reality

I also hope she has big boobs, but I would compromise on that one if she had most if not all of the qualities I mentioned above

::) lol
Little kitties and puppies and other furry animals (lol) make me have a death of cute 😍
I also love any living human who is willing to buy me a Black Lotus. Lol... Never gonna happen.

Nerdiness! In the end though, being ability to use reasoning (intelligently, which happens in like 5% of people) is probably the most attractive thing in a person.

Lots of things! Intelligence first and foremost, I can't enjoy spending time with someone who is only slightly smarter than an orangutan (Paris Hilton for example). Long hair, love it! Someone who enjoys the same kind of movies/shows I do (any fantasy, especially "dark" fantasy, vampires/werewolves/ghosts). Someone who loves animals as much as I do. Someone who respects the fact that I am not cuddly and don't always want to be held or hold anyone. Body and face doesn't really matter much to me, beauty is fleeting. Love breasts, but sometimes too much really is too much... Was once with a girl who had 38F. A great personality and a nurturing soul are awesome too.

So basically any woman who isn't touchy feely, lol. My wife calls me a man .bore. all the time due to my past.

So beauty doesn't matter to you? So if you weren't married, would you marry a woman who had REALLY bad achne. Greasy, frayed hair. A deformed nose and lip. One eye permanently slightly closed, the other bulging. Uneven, severely chipped yellow teeth. Chin askew. Ears not lined up at the same height. realy dry skin. Groady, uneven, ingrown finger and toenails. Bad B.O. Burn marks. Scars. One breast. And one foot if she had all other qualities you looked for?

Beauty obviously matters, but its not even in the top ten of things I want in a spouse. Honestly, if the woman above had exactly every attribute I was looking for, I would probably date her. Much of beauty can be changed, personality is hard to remake. Almost everything in your list can be corrected through medicine and/or better hygiene.

Actually, yes. I don't find many women who are considered societies "perfect" woman to be attractive. Megan Fox, Kim Kardashian, Mariah Carey to name a few disgust me. Their personalities are atrocious. Everyone has deformities. I don't judge based on physical appearance, but on personality and intelligence. I have been with women who have some of those issues. Bad BO, check. Bad acne, check. Scars and burn marks, check. One breast, check (she was a cancer survivor). I get that most don't and won't understand, but I only get physically attracted to someone (anyone) if they spark an interest intellectually. My wife, for example, and I play chess frequently. We discuss basically everything from socioeconomic degeneration in modern society to the changing migration patterns of the birds in our area due to global warming. We also have arguments frequently concerning how best to stabilize our various global issues. Those discussions and arguments are what turn me on, not her body (which I do love).

I personally like it when someone asks my opinion.  In my house I am the youngest, and most of the time no one really cares what I want to do or such.  For example, me and my step brother's birthdays are 2 days apart.  Me and my dad talked about going to a sushi place.  When my step mom and step bro started talking about birthday plans they wanted to go someplace else because they don't like sushi.  I wasn't too mad about not going to get sushi, but it wasn't even brought up, "hey joe, (me) where would you like to go eat?"

TL;DR - someone who asks for my opinion/cares about what I have to say.

Smarts/nerdiness. That takes the cake.

I dated a very attractive girl but she had no brains. Now I'm dating someone who most guys wouldn't consider to have the greatest body, but her brains are so smart that it literally makes her attractive. Plus she has a cute face! ;)

But in all seriousness, we have fun together all the time. We watch Dr. Who among other shows and have tickle and pillow fights and whatnot. I could be the poorest man alive and I would cherish each and every day with her for all my life, and never ask for anything more :)

I really only have a few "needs" that have to be met. Unfortunately (for me), they're pretty specific and harder for me come by than they should be...

1) Shared interests. Gotta like a lot if the same stuff as me, or what's the point, right? Without being able to become best of friends, how do you expect to achieve...
2) a real emotional connection. I need meaning and depth, not just in my partner but in the relationship itself.
3) non-smoker. Tobacco or otherwise. It's the smells, they really bother my headache.
4) Trust. I keep getting burned on this one. :/
And
5) General sweetness. I suppose as a relatively altruistic guy, it only makes sense that I'd be miserable around a harpy, and content beside an angel.

Bah, it can't be as hard as I feel it is to find those 5 things. I think I just suck at looking :P

Understanding grammar is a huge start. If a woman walks up to me and says "I seen you," I won't even consider talking to her. I can't stand that.

The moment you stop looking is the moment you'll find someone. Or that's how it happened with me anyway.

As far as what I like about my wifepiece, I like the fact that she's more or less my opposite. That's the dynamic to our relationship. We balance each other out. We share very few of the same interests and I love it. That means there's always a new experience for one of us.

As far as what quirks and psychical attributes I love about her, she has a quick wit that rivals my own, she is unintentionally funny 90% of the time, she is short and has a nice bottom (😍 yowza,) and she has a southern twang in her accent sometimes that I find incredibly sexy.

lose the desperation. Women don't like clingy guys and have a radar for them

Noah is my personality polar opposite, but we share so many interests.

A couple that plays mtg together, stays together.

I love chivalry and the act of being such. I want a girl who'll let me do that, I don't need a prissy princess but I want to fullfill her that way nonetheless. Someone with nerdy quirks that I learn to love as well as she learns to love mine. Attention, its been a long time since I've been pursued and the times I had been I wish I hadn't taken them for granted.

The first filters (cuz there's always a first impression) are

1. Looks. Gotta love pretty features cuz you gotta enjoy the view when you wake up every morning. I actually realize i don't have a type, there are beautiful things about lots of different women but a few deal breakers

2. Intelligence. Dating someone way dumber than you is essentially babysitting with benefits

But one of the things that I've realized is a big thing for me is if the girl can express a passion about anything. I can not particularly like something they do, but them talking about anything with real passion is a turn on.

In that vein, while I don't need to connect on every level (cuz people are all different ya know?), one thing that can really soidify a relationship for me is sharing flaws. I guess it's just a comfort thing.
