I'm currently on my way to get more work done on my tattoo and I was just wondering, who here has a tattoo? What is it? Why did you get it? And whether you have a tattoo or not, what's your opinion on tattoos?
I have several and only three of them I don't regret. Those are: the Clash's London Calling on my leg, straight edge tattoos on the back of my arms, and "246" on the inside of my index finger.
Here we go, about to start. Wish me luck.
I would recommend getting a tattoo because it stays with you your entire life... haha.. But yes, quality art is expensive. be willing to pay for it. $150 an hour for a good artist is a good deal! do not just get a tattoo because it is cost effective! so many bad tattoos have come from those situations. most of all enjoy, you are getting inked for you and you alone...
It's been a little while since I had work done. That lower side back is torture.
uuugh, it tingles in your legs haha ribs and armpit were no fun for me.
I don't have a tattoo, but I have seen enough horrible ones to tell you, get one if you want, but hire a good artist, with clean needles, and clean, fresh ink. And pick a good design, don't get "Seamore Butts" across your lower back, lol. Other than that, have at it. ;)
Holy mother of gumdrops he's right on my spine.
I love tattoos but I wouldn't get one just for the heck of it. I only have 2 as of now but both are fairly big. I have a crucifix on my upper back, and a koi that takes up my upper left arm. Both have significant meaning to me and that is what really matters, it took me a while to decide on all the ones I want/have. But yes you are going to pay good money for a good artist that does quality work, which is why I don't have more as of yet!

oh... I've definitely gotten tattoos just for the heck of it. haha that's how I ended up with Right and Left written on the respective feet... in typewriter font of course.

My skateboarder friend has "Grip It" on his right foot and "Rip It" on his left. I actually think that's pretty sweet.

that is cool.

I've actually thought about a MTG tattoo for a long time. Just no idea where to even start being that there is so much good art out there. I would only use the card as inspiration of course, and let my artist do his thing. one of the cards I've been considering working an idea around is X edition {regeneration} just so darn pretty...
I want to get {Thundermaw Hellkite} on my lower side stretching onto my chest. That or something else. I haven't looked into it enough to decide what I want yet for sure.
I'm currently working on my sleeve, it's Jenova from FFVII on my forearm and biomech for the rest of my arm, I also have a biomech design on my chest and shoulder and a dragon on my side!
I love tattoos :3
I have a tribal gyarados on my left forearm and a feather flaking off into crows on my right forearm.
I'm
Debating on what I want next. I kind of want the keywork with a dragonfly on my shoulder
I really love tattos unfortunately age prevents me from obtaining them but when I can I'm getting a tri force from LoZ on my left for arm and hopefully the kingdom hearts logo on my right
I've got a rose on the side of my upper right arm. Got it the week my daughter was born. No regrets. I've actually been thinking of getting another but I'm not sure what to get yet and will have to draw it out.
I have 3, 4 if you want to be picky. An Asian dragon my right calf (got at 19), a stonework cross on my led calf (age 25) and a set of matching ravens on each should (got in May age 34). I love them all but that is because I took my time to find what I wanted. Each on represents a point in my life and has its own story. My only advice is this:
1) Shill out the $$, it's an investment in art.
2) Makes sure the place is clean and make them open the needles in front of you and show you their onsite autoclave.
3) Avoid impulse decision. Much like a kid, it's for the rest of your life.
Just finished a 6 hour session on my back. Next session we're going to use the wider one and knock out a big chunk of background.
I love tattoos especially steam punk/industrial style ones that make your skin look like it's peeled back to show gears.
Not old enough to get them yet but!
I intend to get the newer skinny puppy SP on my forearm. And a 4 leaf clover on my left hand with 97 in it. Wouldn't mind getting a Triforce somewhere or something Gorillaz related probably on my other arm or calf.
Definitely want a "It Can't Rain All The Time" (from The Crow) somewhere maybe across chest.
I got a bunch of tattoos. I love em. If I had more money id get my whole body covered. And the ladies love em 😉

The affliction of any tattoo enthusiast, second only to random people touching them (as if you can feel them) and asking if it hurt when you got them.
I currently have 3, I have an idea for my next but it will be quite costly. It will be the entirety of my sleeves and technically is about 7 seperate pieces.
With that said, I love tattoos. Just make sure if you get one, it means something, because getting rid of one is a b****, and usually still doesn't work.
4 skulls (1 five finger death punch, 1 candy skull + 2 normal) and a phoenix on upper right arm.

Yeah. People love talking about tattoos, I just usually say "it's from a Lady GaGa album" to see if they think it's still cool. It feels like really bad sunburn, except when they line it out. I've got a piece from my forearm to about my wrist, the lower part did hurt.
The only one that hurt really bad on me was my shin. It felt like I was running into a coffee table every few seconds for two hours straight. I have some on my feet and those were tasty but not as bad as the shin. Wrist is kinda bad but the rest of the arm isn't that bad. In between fingers isn't too fun.

Those ones on your feet musta been pretty dang tasty
I studied in Italy last spring and got my first tattoo there. 2 actually, sort of wavy sun beams around my elbows.
I get asked a lot if they mean anything and it seems to upset people in a way when I tell them no.
I just really wanted a tattoo from Italy lol
I'm actually writing an article for my college's paper about the fading stima of tattoos in the 21st century. And a question type thing on if tattoos become more and more common, does their "cool" or "edgy" or "unique" quality fade as well.
I have a tattoo that I had gotten on my back on my top right shoulder. It's a memorial. I want more but I can't due to my age. The feeling of getting a tattoo is addictive. I liked the feeling getting one.
